Convenient location to DC. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable. Waitstaff were friendly and accommodating. The food was surprisingly good. The elevators were confusing as you needed to take 3 elevators to get from parking garage to your room. There is no good way to use a dolly to get from parking garage to your room due to steps you had to take to get to elevator. There was no coffee maker or refrigerator in the room. We had reserved a room on high floor away from elevator, but we got room on lowest floor near elevator.
By far the worst hotel experience ever! Staying at a motel 8 would have been a better stay. 1. We check in at 3:30pm, got to our room and as I was in the bathroom housekeeping walks in non-announced and apparently our room had not been cleaned yet. Which explains the open soap bar in the bathroom. 2. Our rooms were actually not changed not, we were given the bedding to make ourselves. 3. The bath portion of the tub/shower combination did not work, we had to call for service for someone to come turn it on which required PLIERS!!!! To turn on. 4. They lobby entrance, although it appears upscale, had dirty/ stained couches. 5. This is not a big deal but the superior rooms are small and antiquated. 6. The bed was not comfortable at all. It was actually felt lumpy. Overall, terrible experience. Stay anywhere but here.
Great hotel with a great view overlooking Key Bridge and the Potomac into historic Georgetown. The only minor flaw was you had to turn up thermostat to 80° to get a room temp of 73° That was more than offset by the classy, helpful staff especially Adonis front desk and Doug restaurant. These two gents are the kind of people that make Marriott a great company
This hotel has bed bugs…at least our room did! I’m mortified. I immediately saw a dermatologist after arriving home and he said they appear to be bedbug bites. I reached out to the hotel to let them know immediately and they stated they’d research and let me know what they find. It’s been a month and still haven’t heard anything from them. Appalled by the lack of follow-up. Check your room/mattress. The hotel itself has so much potential. Perfect location, nice layout, safe, comfortable minutes the unsolicited roommates. I expect better from Marriott in terms of their follow-up with us.
We arrived at 10:30, requested early check in, some members of our group were given rooms that were filthy, the sink was not draining after 1 use and mold from the trap came out. The curtains had stains, dust everywhere. If I wasn't sitting near the reception desk, I wouldn't have believed that the receptionist was giving the same rooms to customers who came after us. Our infant was noticibly irritable yet they would not accommodate us. Would not recommend, nothing "fancy" at this hotel, I've had better and cleaner experiences at cheaper hotels. The lobby was the only saving grace. No refrigerators in 3/4 rooms we had or microwaves. At check out the same receptionist we encountered wouldn't even look us in the eyes. Avoid this place and book elsewhere.
I love this hotel. Very clean, quiet. Nice amenities. Quick trip to Georgetown. The views are amazing too! Great time every time we stay here.Rooms: 5/5
Typical high-quality Marriott brand. Excellent view across the Potomac of Georgetown. Excellent staff, especially Adonis front desk and Doug restaurant. Very classy gentlemen
Do NOT give this hotel your money. This is where many of the insurrectionists stayed-- openly going mask free in their camo gear yelling in the streets inside and outside the hotel. The hotel did nothing.
I was really looking forward to bringing in the NY at this location….. Not!!! First I was given a handicap accessible room. The bed was horrible, I couldn’t sleep. Not what I imagined for my favorite hotel.
The best feature of Le Méridien Arlington is their extremely professional, helpful and friendly staff. The hotel lobby and hallways are nicely decorated and have some charm. However, once you get to your room, the suites are very small compared to other hotels nearby. The bathroom is particularly small, with very little space between the small sink and the toilet, and from the toilet to the shower. The decor is likely decades old and it shows. I requested an allergen free room, and indeed the room did not trigger my allergies but I had my doubts considering that the carpet had several noticeable cigarette burns - which only reinforced my impression that the room hasn’t been renovated in decades. I believe most hotels banned smoking more than ten years ago. The toiletries were nice but not nice enough to offset the occasional discharge noise coming from the bathroom during the night. The AC was extremely noisy and blew air directly onto the bed, which is not ideal in my opinion, and I have a suspicion that the thermostat wasn’t accurate since the room felt considerably colder than what the thermostat indicated. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel, despite the great service. In fact, if I have a choice, I do not intend to stay at Le Méridien Arlington again.
