Le Pain Quotidien

Story

We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means “the daily bread” in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts.

At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That’s why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you’ll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.

Had the almond croissant, cold brew and lemonade. The lemonade was not sweet at all and quite sour, the coffee wasn’t too bad. The croissant was delicious. The service by the girl taking the order was great she was very friendly. There was another girl in the kitchen area though who was dishing out attitude and eye rolls which made me slightly uncomfortable.
Nice coffee place inside Central park. They have a lot of tables around and you can enjoy the view with a hot drink and baked goods. Automn advice - wear some really warm clothes so you can sit for more then 15 mins
Coffee cups were soooo big!! Food was okay but liked the ambiance there inside the Central Park.
the brand used to be one of my favorites, I was at the east 77th location every single day! It has been declining in quality, service, and increasing prices - just had a VERY mediocre ham & swiss sandwich had less than half, ham was horrible - lady at register in Central Park 72nd location very rude she was wearing a denim jacket, black hair pulled back and she rolled her eyes at me becuase I asked way too many times if there was butter in the sandwich butter makes me very ill, and need to make super sure. Never in a million year a store owner or employee would have ever "rolled eyes" or been rude to a customer, this is the "new now". They do not know the difference between toasting a baguette, and heating a thick piece of bread! Will never to back to that location close to where I live, their loss! and I am done with LPQ, once and for all. Finally!!
Tasty lemonade. Peaceful view from the seat.
Loveeeee this location, from the beautiful ducks in the pond to the friendly staff. The chai latte is to die for. I definitely recommend LPQ sailboat to all of my friends.!!!
The baguette sandwich with chicken and mozzarella was yummy , though the place is very small and you need to wait a long line in the sun.
I am a vegetarian and I eat gluten free. I have hard times finding appropriate food. They do have gluten free bread and they were so nice to create an avocado toast for me on the spot, it was delicious... Should be on the menu...Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Looks like american coffee is brewed here at least ten times from the same load. Tastless and without any traces of coffee"s aroma liquid with disgusting smell of overextracted ciffee. Rude and ignorant personnel refusing to refill a brewing machine with fresh load if coffee. Avoid this place if you are looking for a decent american coffee. Note to a manager of this place -. Le Pain Quotidien has very strict uniform rules and a woman in khaki military jacket pouring "coffee" to a former customer me is definitely not in line with these rules. 02/16/23 Update. The worst customer service in NYC I ever had. Waited 5 minutes at the cash register while two employees enjoyed watching a fun movie. After the prolonged wait I was served with the wrong drink three times in a row. Eventually I returned my coffee as it tasted like not coffee but as an attempt to brew as much as possible brown colored water from yesterday's leftovers in a coffee machine. Leave this place for the tourists. Avoid otherwise
Great location, nice staff and quiet place but not very good sandwiches. The sandwich was from the day before and it was served directly from the fridge to the table.
