Dr Gent saved our girl. She has had 2 surgeries now & I appreciate the fact he will let me go back with her during her surgeries. Wonderful caring vet & staff!

My dog had to be put down! I am a professional that understands the power of reviews. I know that people hide behind them and some are legit, and many are dramatic. This review is the first negative one I have posted. Dr. "Gent" was perhaps the rudest, most crass human you could have around a suffering pet, mine was poorly examined and I was sold several products based upon this examination that I never had the opportunity to use. After Dr. Gent quickly ran us thru, recommending a 10 day follow up, I had to take my Mastiff to the Airport emergency hopital the next night. He had chewed through two of his toes and was in incredible pain because Dr. Gent didn't recommend a cone to keep him away from chewing into them and was treated overnight and was referred to a different vet the next day who tried everything to help my pet. I had to load a 200lb dog that couldn't walk, into a vehicle and out, three times due to this vets negligence. My Mastiff ended up having diabetes, and neuropathy had set into his paws, causing him to chew off two of his toes. After starting to chew on the other paw and unable to walk, I was forced to make the decision to put him down. If my dog had been properly diagnosed, this condition may have had time to be corrected. My family will certainly miss our companion. Please research this vet with other clinics, you will find, as I did, he is frowned upon by his peers. I hope that his pets are never treated with the disrespect that he treated mine with.

I am really unhappy with my visit. I was asked to hold my dog down for his nail trim. I kept saying I can't hold him down. (THAT'S WHY TOOK HIM THERE! Otherwise, I'd just do it myself at home.) By the time it was all said and done I was covered in dog excrement from my waist down. My dog was not examined by the vet. My questions about my dogs nail problems were ignored by the staff. At check out they tried to charge me for an exam even when the receptionist said my dog wasn't examined. I asked that it be removed from my bill. I should have looked at what I did pay for because they still charged me a $15 dollar "office call". When I called to ask why I was charged $15, I was told it was because I have to bring him in and they have to hold him to administer care. As I stated above, I had to hold my own panicking dog. He was only on the examination table for 5 seconds to get his weight. I will NEVER be back.
