Is it possible to give a place SIX out of five stars? If so, Leopold's would deserve it. The ice cream is out of this world: unbelievably creamy, rich, and full-flavored, no matter which variety you choose. If the line of 60+ people ahead of us at 9:45pm on a weeknight was any indication, a lot of other people think it's great, too. And no mistake, the 45-minute wait was worth it, as the scoops are generous. Just go with a friend or a good book, and thank me later.

So many flavors of ice cream!! Stopped in for a cool snack after walking most of the day. I had the southern pecan... it did not disappoint. Everyone was friendly and smiling, even took a minute to take a picture with us. I recommend stopping in at Leopold's for some ice cream and history. I even got to show off my incredible parallel parking skills :)

WORTH WAITING IN LINE!!
What is summer without waiting in a long line for ice cream? The difference here is the Leopold “touch!” Although the typical favor fare is great and delicious, the feature flavors are beyond compare! The honey almond cream made me want to get back in line all over again!
Once you make it to the front, the kids scooping are super helpful and friendly. This will be a definite must-do on my list for subsequent visits!

SO GOOD! Be prepared to wait in line, but it's totally worth it. Classic flavors and a few newer ones, but everything is good! Employees are kind and energetic, even at 10pm and the line out the door never gets shorter. You can taste a few before deciding and the inside is full of pictures and histories and such. Went there twice in two days it was so good!

The best ice cream in Savannah, in a gorgeous classic building. And great food, too! Tons of cool movie memorabilia, as the founder worked in Hollywood (fun fact, a few premiers were hosted a the theatre around the corner - The Lucas... they make sure to stay open for any late films or shows going on to this day). Try the chicken salad sandwich and pasta salad; delicious!! There will most likely be a line, but STAY. It's worth it.
