Excellent environment and facilities to motivate one self to keep going back. My first trainer at Lifetime did not have good communication skills and he did not watch me to make sure I exercised correctly. And he looked at his phone during training. Very disappointing. However, I know have an excellent trainer who communicates well and is so careful making sure all my joints are protected during work outs. His knowledge is shared with me and he is 100 % devoted to his clients.
Love all the amenities that the gym has to offer but the upkeep of the basketball court specifically the rims is very poor. The rims are nearly always loose and barely tightened to the backboard or just broken and the floors are always dirty. Definitely not what I'd expect for $100+ membership. I'd give 5 stars if they cared more for the basketball courts.
Been a member since 2014 and the gym portion is constantly getting new equipment and updating the upstairs portion which is very nice and updated/modern. That being said the rest of the gym kinda going down hill. A lot of the lockers are part broken or lose from age or people breaking in. The sauna wood is gross from people wearing their shoes in. The steam room is dirty feeling and has rust constantly coming from the steam machine. One or both of the hot tubs is always shut down. They also constantly raise the rates every year. In 2019 my wife and I were paying $130 after tax and fees for our membership, just checked and for 2022 they raised it to $164 after taxes and fees. So higher rates for worse quality…?
The staff is just what makes this place. From front desk staff to PT's to the GM; she's a true gem. Martina and Jordan were great help; helping me sort a matter I was inquiring about. They all went above and beyond to help me out. Love love this gym. No waiting for cardio machines ever. Tons and tons of rows. Thee best you'll get in Columbus. I only wish they would add more 5 am cycle classes.
I belonged to this gym for 17 years since they opened. Today, I went in to cancel my membership for personal reasons and they informed me that I had to give them 30 days notice, so I will be charged for another month. I am extremely disappointed in how I have been treated by Lifetime Fitness.
This location is getting poorly organized day by day. The pool area lacks life guards and all members who want to get into the pool get dumped into the same pool. There have been times when workers don’t show up and the facility wouldn’t open on time. Cleanliness is not a thing here anymore. Poor communication and lack of resources makes this a bad place to be part of.
Life Time has everything you could want in a gym the best equipment, pool, saunas, hot tub, climbing wall, basketball, pickleball, crossfit style lifting, classes. The main upside is that it has everything. The main downside is that any gym that has everything has to be really big. If you like a more personal feel, you might like a different gym or get involved in one of Life Time's premier programs like Alpha very pricy. They are starting to advertise it as a luxury country club and it is very bougy. While I like how nice the facilities are, things like paid close up premier parking spaces really, at a gym? and paid premium lockers give it an uppity and snooty feel that I could do without. Overall great for a large gym though.
The club is great, but if you have a problem, they will not help you. I have already contacted them a few months ago, and nothing has changed. I am unable to take certain group fitness classes due to one disruptive member, and all they have done is sent me an email saying that I am welcome to come in and talk to someone in person. This is after I have already told a staff member the problem in detail. The only other options on their "contact us" page is the club phone number where I can talk to the same management as before or the online form that I have already fill out before. They would rather allow one person to ruin the experience and disrupt the entire class for an entire hour than deal with the problem. They say they value member feedback, but they actually don't. None of your feedback will be taken into consideration and none of your complaints will be resolved.
It was a lovely facility! The general manager and spa manager were polite, courteous, and well informed, and the front desk was friendly. Book a massage today!
Great facility if your 18-27 and like steroids! But if your an audalt with kids just get a pool pass for the summer and save your money. Kids programs are understaffed and book 6to8 months out by the same 10 family's, no kids allowed until 10am so no acomidation for single parents who only have mornings. Not the family friendly buisness they claim to be.
