One of my favorite deli spots in Bethesda great service great food... around the corner from my shop Excellent staff and selection. As you can see my usual is steak and Cheese... with a Stella
Wonderful customer service and food. If you are looking for safe gluten free options this is a great spot if your visiting the area. I have celiac and felt safe eating there and also did not get sick. Wish I had this cafe in my local hometown. I would be for sure a return customer weekly. Ordered Margherita pizza & ordered crab cake entree both gf. Also ordered gelato later on not pictured. Cafe also has a great section where you can buy wine and gluten free section cookies, breads etc..
Wanted to love it…This place has an old school charm about it, because it’s a restaurant inside a mom n’ pop corner store. I came here based on the stellar reviews. After dining here I have to be honest and say that I love my food flavorful and delicious, and that is exactly what I expected based on the reviews… Service was fast, but my kebab, rice, and salad combo left a lot to be desired. The kebab was missing so much authentic flavor, and I was confused by the marinara the kebab were nestled in. The white rice also fell pretty flat. The salad was fresh and I enjoyed the balsamic vinegar dressing. The dairy and gluten-free cupcakes surprised us, because we honestly aren’t used to having so ma y options. The peanut butter cupcake was solid, but the cookies and cream cupcake was missing so much flavor.
Took advantage of their daily lunch special. As this was a Thursday, I got the turkey Reuben panini. The sandwich was amazing, flavorful and filling. Definitely will return to try the other sandwiches of the day and maybe even the gelato.Food: 4/5
5 star review all around. Service, selection and taste. Walking in and being asked if we would like the GF menu or the conventional menu was an amazing surprise. My family is all gluten free and not having to decipher what we can and cannot eat from the conventional menu was amazing. There is nothing worse than having to tell a child you can have a bun-less hamburger or a green salad. I would recommend Lilit Cafe to anyone who is gluten free or not. Dietary restrictions: An entirely separate gluten-free menu available. A huge selection of gluten free groceries to take home as well.
This is one of my and my wife's favorite places to eat in Bethesda. I often go with their lasagna, which is delicious and very filling, but we often order pizzas which are incredible. Even their gluten-free pizza is very good because their sauce is simply incredible. They also have gluten-free and dairy free cupcakes which are some of the softest and creamiest cupcakes I've ever had.
Nice neighborhood place for sandwiches, hot and cold, plus salads and much more not gluten-free. Very large retail wine section, and they carry a large selection of gluten-free baked goods cupcakes, cakes and boxed mixes, such as gluten-free cake mixes. Large selection of sodas and other drinks. I always get takeout but there are ample tables and chairs in a clean, quiet seating area for eating in. Also, really good gelato.
Great sandwiches! Usually get them to go. Also really good beer & wine selection. And they have parking which is kind of rare in Bethesda. Gluten free? Their specialty for some reason. Parking: Ample parking right behind. Dietary restrictions: They have a large gluten free selection. From entrees to desserts and even beers.
Stumbled across this place while waiting for my car to be done getting serviced nearby at Acura and I’m so glad I did!! Had a delicious Philly cheesesteak on a gluten free baguette — to die for! They also had all kinds of fresh baked gluten free cupcakes and I bought two and they did not disappoint. The small little market inside had some incredible things so I stocked up and left with frozen ravioli, cinnamon buns, and lasagna noodles which are all usually hard to find gluten free! Will definitely be going back :
Love, love, loved this little hole in the wall cafe/grocery shop. Amazing option, especially for gluten free needs. Had insanely good Gluten Free lasagna and Cesar salad along with yummy desserts. Took a sandwich on GF baguette for my lunch the next day and really enjoyed that too. Walked a ways to get here and would do it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend this place!!
