Lilydale Garden Center

We went from garden center to garden store this weekend and Lilydale was the only place we found everything we wanted! Plants look healthy and green. Plenty to chose from. I could meander through the walkways for hours. Unique plants, trees, shrubs...they have it all. Prices are higher than others, slightly, but worth it for good plants!

Such an adorable garden center! Very fair/moderate pricing. Even a cat that greeted me on my way in! I will be back!! :

I’m a new homeowner who isn’t very well versed in plants, nor do I have a good track record with them. I went to Highland Nursery prior to my visit to Lilydale. Highland was not giving me the guidance I was looking for. I drove over to Lilydale and was so impressed with the help and recommendations!

They were, overall, great to work with on a small job adding trees in a small bed. Looked good. Very flexible and quick for a small job. Workers and managers were friendly. Big but: We had irrigation moved for the bed but apparently it wasn't moved quite far enough in one spot. The dig lines were still fresh and visible fyi. I was verbally told, and it is written, they don't help with inadvertent damage to irrigation lines, so I know they won't cover it, but if that is the policy, I would think fresh dig lines from the irrigation company would indicate where one needs to at least be a bit careful. I was verbally told they have one or two people who do tend to be a little less cautious on that. Feels like a get-out-of-jail-free card and then effectively adds a way more cost and busy work on my end on a "small" project. Caveat emptor, I guess. Overall, many plusses but some very big cautions on certain types of projects.

One of my favorite garden shops. A big place with several greenhouse areas and an outdoor yard in the summer, and a pared back selection in winter. I have found plants and cultivars here that I haven’t found elsewhere, and had extensive really helpful conversations with staff even on some of my odder questions. If you’re heading to Highland Nursery nearby, do yourself a favor and add Lilydale Garden Center to your trip, they are only about a minute away from each other.

the staff were super accommodating! great prices for houseplants and had a nice selection of plants and pots. they are also dog friendly which is a plus!!

Little "hole in the wall" garden store. Worth the stop! While some plants might be higher priced than their Big Box equivalents, the condition of said plants makes them worth the price! Their fuchsias looked gorgeous and were in a protected greenhouse... in much better shape than ones I've seen at other stores that were in a sorry state after being left out in the cold. They had a great selection of annuals in the greenhouse, and very competitive pricing on the starter flats. Staff was both friendly & knowledgeable, which is a rare trait in garden store employees, I've found. I will be back!

This is my favorite garden center. They know what they have, they take the best care of the plants. I'm a gardener by profession, and since I discovered Lilydale, I always know where I can find what I need. They have an extensive selection of perennials, with some of the more unusual cultivars. Polite and knowledgeable staff are always to be found, pampering their inventory.

Nice selection of plants. Awesome pot arrangements. Found plants that are not available other places. Staff was friendly! Also staff helped put plants in vehicle and put down plastic to protect seats! Live outstate and was visiting daughter in west St. Paul, found prices to be similar if not better than in the area where I live.

Lilydale Garden Center has been my favorite nursery for 20 years. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable, and the smaller size means I don't have to walk miles to find what I want. Their selection of annuals, perennials, trees and shrubs is outstanding, and I often find the newest, and most desireable plants at this family owned business. The great service means they will always help me bring things to my car, and arrange convenient times for delivery I always get my fresh Christmas tree here and their wreathes are beautiful and unique!. They offer personal planting services, which I know others use extensively. Lilydale' s work crew has done fabulous work for me in my yard--from removing old shrubs to planting new shrubs, trees and grass, their work is always exemplary. They have the best garden soil in town and will deliver it by the truckload, which has been fantastic when I have put in new gardens. Overall, a wonderful garden center that I recommend all the time to friends and family!
