Story

The coffee is from Devocion, which is a Williamsburg brand. The coffee beans are dry milled in Bogota, and rapidly shipped to the USA via FedEx for roasting. This means it is guaranteed newly roasted, ultra-fresh coffee, so that the cup you hold in your hands still breathes the mists of the Colombian campo. We have sandwiches ,Spinach and Feta / potatoe Boreks(Bourekas), specially made of the Mediterranean products we sell on the shelves.

Established in 2015.

Lion's Milk is actually means Rakı which is an unsweetened, anise-flavored Turkish alcoholic drink that is popular in Turkey, as an apéritif. It is often served with seafood or meze. It is similar to several other alcoholic beverages available around the Mediterranean and the Middle East, like ouzo, sambuca and arak.

Dilution with water causes rakı to turn a milky-white color. This phenomenon has resulted in the drink being popularly referred to Lion's Milk. Lion is a Turkish colloquial metaphor for a strong, courageous man, this gives the term a meaning close to "the milk for the strong."

Good deep espresso! However the main appeal is being able to read articles on the fall of NFT’s and people like Sam Bankman-fried getting arrested while sitting in a cafe with nft’s in it. It feels as if you are watching karma go to work, right in front of you. Truly surreal. Hopefully they just take those out and have a nice cafe instead.

Had a dirty chai latte with oat milk and it was way better than I expected!! So smooth and well crafted drink. Would like to try the salep traditional Turkish drink next time when I don’t need caffeine can’t wait to come back and try their delicious looking pastries too!! Lots of seating area too which is a major plus in my eyes!
Cool cafe for coffee and pastries. Great environment with a minimalist, countryside vibe. WiFi available. No laptops on the weekend. Indoor / outdoor space with small terrace in the back. $7.89 for an iced oat milk latte.
One of my favorite spots; definitely nice when there is room in the back to sit and get some work done. They use Devoción coffee beans, and their food is good… the spinach and feta borek is flaky and great warmed up
Simit Turkish Bagel is reminiscent of the Montreal style bagel. The Golden Latte had a pronounced note of turmeric and had a creamy mouthfeel. Overall I had a nice breakfast on the go from this place.Food: 5/5

Cute, air-conditioned, and very quiet cafe to work at. I was catching up with a friend so we sat outside. Turkish coffee came with a Turkish delight. Both were good, though not memorable enough to get again, especially for the price point. Would probably get a tea or drip coffee next time.

For the best natural wine, vermouth, and tapas, the Barali collab at Lion's Milk every Thurs - Sun evenings is the best thing that's happend to Williamsburg. Seriously, the spicy sardine crostini is so savory and zesty. And the natural wine list is unparalleled, with some wine you'll taste so you'll know loss the rest of your life. And the staff are generous, wholesome people. Guaranteed a good time.
