Great breakfast sandwiches in a tiny shop. If you're looking for a meal on a roll at a reasonable price, check this place out. One recommendation is call in your order. First, there's not much room to wait. Second, they go until closing or until they're out of rolls, so you know you'll get your food.
The owners are so kind and the breakfast sandwich is amazing! Prices are great for how much you get.Food: 5/5
This is the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had and the owners are some of the nice people I have ever met.Food: 5/5
Such a cute little dive that makes wonderful, greasy breakfast sandwiches! I’m assuming Lisa & her husband were so nice and made great conversation. They knew almost everyone who stopped in which was comforting. I had the King George & it was delicious. Will go back anytime I’m in philly! Not a place to go if you want a sit down breakfast but they do have around 3-4 chairs to sit at a little bar.
Great food, great portions, friendly people and fair prices. Cant beat it!Food: 5/5
Best hangover cure you will ever have. I love this place. I mean, you can't go wrong with meat sausage, egg, cheese, and hash browns on a roll. I usually have the Little Country, because the Kaiser roll is *slightly* smaller than the hoagie roll, and they don't pack as many things into the sandwich, which means I can eat it all in one sitting. Alternatively, saving half of big sandwiches for later and popping them in the oven for a hot minute is also wonderful. Just eat here. I was so happy when they started being open on Sunday's; however, they do still close between Memorial Day and Labor Day, so if you have a hankering for Lisa's in the summer, you'll just have to be patient.
I ordered the Varsity King George breakfast sandwich and it was heckin delicious. Spinach tomato egg hash brown tucked into the same type of roll used for cheesesteaks and let me tell you it did NOT disappoint. It was huge tho, I’m saving the other half for later on today. Savory, not greasy, well-cooked and stacked. Best breakfast sandwich bar none. The gentleman behind the cashier was very kind and welcoming, and the grill master is *chefs kiss* an angel with a spatula. Two varsity sandwiches, a drink, a coffee, and a pumpkin bread cinnamon roll for $20. Not bad!
Perfect place to pick up a quick sandwich and a coffee on the way to the train! The owners are so nice and the conversation was great. Prices are affordable, better than what I can get around where I work.
Love this gem of a place! Walk the dogs to eat there every week. Breakfast sandwiches are huge, fresh, delicious and creatively made! I am sad when they close for summer season.
Very yummy, fast service, and great prices!! Highly recommend the breakfast sandwiches.
