Story

Founded by professional ballerina Jarina Carvalho, Live Oak Dance offers professional quality ballet instruction in a flexible, friendly environment. Live Oak Dance is the answer to methods that require inflexible commitment or low quality training.

Our classes offer a fresh approach to ballet and classical dance training in the New Orleans area for all ages and levels. The Pre-Professional and Open Adult classes are based in the neoclassical Balanchine style, recognized as the most innovative method of ballet today. Youth Program classes are pre-ballet format with emphasis on creative movement, motor skills development and fun!
