Concerning Living Word Christian Church of Newburgh Indiana. I would recommend caution if attending here due to this group following Rick Warren's teachings and using Bible Translations that change God's Word. During the sermon delivered June 11th 2017 Titled: "A Faith Walk - Passing the Baton of Faith" At the 11 minute 20ish second mark in the audio, the teacher said: "....Matthew 7:7 this is the New Living Translation, it's a great great translation.." The New Living Bible was given a short but glowing review. At a minimum, someone is lacking discernment making that statement and that person was at the front teaching. Please research this yourself, but others have reviewed the NLT Bible and said it is not accurate, very loose and will mislead people; it has many problems. Christians have been lied to that Modern Bible Translations are good or better than the KJV. Modern Bibles use the same corrupt manuscripts compiled by Westcott and Hort / Vatican influenced and picked out to translate from. They falsified information stating that the Vaticanus and Sinaiticus are the oldest and best manuscripts to translate from in order to throw out majority text and destroy God's word when any Bible is translated from them. There's enough evidence uncovered now to know these manuscripts were written in the 1400's and 1800's respectively. They are neither the oldest nor the best. While the New Living Bible doesn't make Jesus sound "as much" like a liar as the other modern Bibles in John 7:8-10 when Jesus spoke to His brothers, the New Living Bible is still a perversion of God's Word with thousands of subtle twists and changes. Someone may question why this is so important. It's important for Jesus had to remain sinless to be a perfect sacrifice for our sins. It's interesting to note that almost all modern translations want to make Jesus out to be a sinner / liar when they translate from Vatican picked manuscripts. Stick with the KJV, that's the version "they" want thrown out.. for a reason. It's accurate! Compare John chapter 7 (KJV) to modern versions in the seats at whatever "church" you attend and you'll be shocked. Also: Please compare Luke 23:42, 1 Cor. 1:18, Mark 10:24, Acts 3:26 to KJV. Once you figure this out you will want to to demand the teachers stop using them. Note: NIV keeps getting worse every edition that comes out. The New Living Translation: Corrupts the following (not complete list) (compare with KJV): 1st John 5:3 Deity of Jesus Christ: 1st Timothy 3:16 Ephesians 3:9 Preservation of the scripture: Psalm 12:6-7 Baptism: Acts 8:36-38 References to Homosexuality: Deuteronomy 23:17 1st Kings 14:24 2nd Kings 23:7 For more information on problems with modern Bibles I recommend watching short video's on the subject focusing on small sections of scripture. Find these videos in the "Dave Flang" Youtube channel. Be like a Berean.
