Absolutely love this place. Crispy chicken like grandma used to make and moist delicious waffles. What’s not to love. Get in while this place is relatively new and not to crazy busy.
This place has a big following. I would recommend getting there 15min-20min before they open to get a table immediately. They don’t take reservations and the wait times can be 1 to 2 hours on most days. The great - great tasting chicken & shrimp & grits. Great service. Clean facility. Easy & free parking. The good - good tasting waffles. The bad - drinks weren’t strong at ALL. The mixed drinks need far more alcohol to have their price tag. Overall.. very good experience & would come back for breakfast or brunch. If you come 20min before 10am when they open; during the summer, bring an umbrella for shade & water. It was hot as hell out there.
I went to this restaurant some years ago at a location that was on Rainbow and it wasn't too good. I went today with some friends and the food was delicious. We had to wait about 15 minutes before we were seated. For some reason they have a policy that you are not allowed to wait inside the restaurant, I have no idea why, and in Vegas heat, that isn't very welcoming. However, once we were seated, we ordered, the service was nice. It took about 20 minutes to get the food, but it was fresh, hot, and very flavorful. I will go back for another visit. Average cost is $20-$25 per person, but it's worth every penny!!!
Be sure to check their site for opening and close, as they close fairly early 7 pm. We arrived just after 6 pm and they were full. My husband loved his meal of fried chicken. The mac & cheese is amazing. Chicken tender and moist. The prices were a bit high, but the portions are large. Service was good, as wait staff was very pleasant. I did find the gravy on the biscuits to be. Lot different than anticipated. It has more of a brown gravy taste that I wasn’t expecting.
There are so many things I can say about this place. Let me start with the negative and follow up with the positive! Negative: They don't allow customers to wait inside the restaurant for seating, they make you wait outside. Once my friends and I were seated, we literally waited 20 minutes for a waiter to come to our table. We placed our entire order when he arrived to our table, and it took 40 minutes before we saw any food. They Brought our appetizers and Entrées out at the same time. Our waiter was the Bartender, and a waiter.. Seriously, I'm not kidding! As soon as we received our food, My friend ordered a salad to go. After we were done eating, my friend still had not received her salad. So we waited an additional 20 minutes for her salad to arrive. Our time frame was, we made it to the restaurant at 10:23am, and we left the restaurant at 2:37pm. That was 4 hours spent at this location! Positive: The Food, Atmosphere, and Music was good! If it wasn't for that, I would have given this place 2-stars.
The wait time was not accurate. We were told 45 minutes but winded up waiting over an hour. Even then, my party and 3 parties ahead of me still weren't notified; we almost had to force our seating. However, the wait was worth it as the food was . The chicken was perfectly season and crispy. The mac & cheese was probably the BEST I've ever had. The collard greens needed ZERO hot sauce, it was perfectly flavored. The cooks did an amazing job. I got the lemonade with strawberry puree, which was sweet but the size of the cup was enough to not need a refill and perfect for the meal. I did not like the taste of the waffle, luckily that wasn't part of my order.
Omg so worth the wait. We waited 1hr and I'm glad we did the food was like being at home. Great portions and full of flavor! They had R&B playing so the atmosphere was so chill I could have just sat in there. Staff was nice and fun, place was clean and neat. Must try the peach cobbler rolls! Will be back during our stay.
It was very good. I ordered the baby Ray which is the smothered chicken and waffles... It was stupid good. Precious was our server and she was amazing. Great personality, makes you feel at home and want to come back again. I did have to wait over an hour to get in though and I arrived at 1030am only half an hour after they opened and it's a Tuesday so be sure to get there early or expect a wait. Besides the initial wait to be seated though the place is amazing and I do recommend.
The music, the atmosphere, and the service was superb! I never had fried green tomatoes and these were so tasty! Their grape kool-aid mixed with lemonade was out of this world! Our waiter was so cool!Food: 5/5
The food was amazing but the the experience was overshadowed by the end our meal once we received our ticket. The server did not inform us prior to ordering that they DO NOT SPLIT THE CHECK! So everyone at our table split the ticket but there was still a discrepancy. This discussion lasted a good 45 minutes. The manager on duty was not able to tell us exactly where the discrepancy was. After this we were frustrated. We are in Vegas to relax not to be frustrated. This experience has put a bad taste in my mouth even though the food was good but the end of the meal totally changed that. The owners of the establishment need to reconsider how they bill their patrons. Once again it is about the experience and if we did not have to spend so much of our time disputing a check that could have been split and you could still add gratuity to each person separate bill. Also the waitress could have gotten more for their tip because good service is always rewarded. All of this could have all been avoided.
