I am staying in the Best Western behind this restaurant. I decided to walk over, since it’s literally 50 ft from the front door of where I am staying, and give them a try. I have been to the Neptune location many years ago, but its been so long I didn’t remember what the food was like. I had such a good dinner here! I got the pulled pork sandwich with a side of mac n cheese. So good! I love how they have the bottles of BBQ sauce right on the table, and I made sure to make good use of them and smother my sandwich with their regular BBQ sauce. The employees here are so nice too. The service was very fast and the restaurant was very clean. As a side note, I met a cat in the parking lot. An employee outside of LSBBQ told me his name was “Franklin” and they made a house for him behind the restaurant. Such nice people! The only drawback, which isnt that surprising since everything is so pricey now a days, the prices here I felt were a little high. The sandwich, mac n cheese, drink, and tip were $25. The food is so good that its worth it, but its just something to consider before going. Ill be back to see Franklin and have another pulled pork sandwich soon!
We arrived on a Saturday evening to a nearly empty restaurant in fairness, it was like 4:30pm...we skipped lunch that day.... After heading inside and looking thru the menu, we noticed quite a few people that came to pick up orders to go. We decided to pick a few different things to try. There are plenty of options on the menu, typical BBQ fare pulled pork, pulled chicken, chili, brisket, ribs, wings, mac and cheese, fries, corn bread, etc.. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table once you sit. Our food was brought out quickly and was very good. Portions were large enough that we brought a bunch home with us too. We'll definitely be back.
Missing portion of order. Called to rectify, Sarah tried to blame driver ordered through DoorDash by word of their “packer”. Except, driver received 1 bag which was closed and received by me closed. Was not driver’s fault but the fault of LSBBQ. Gross how LSBBQ didn’t take accountability on a 52 dollar order but stood ground on 3 items delivered. Wish I could figure out how to upload the pic of what i received.
I recommend the pulled pork or ribs! Everytime I come in the food is great and the customer service is amazing! Misioh was very friendly and made sure we had what we needed!Food: 5/5
The food is very good. Pick up order was ready ahead of schedule. They forgot one side item in my large order but they resolved it quickly with a refund. Seems better overall compared to a few years ago.Food: 5/5
Awesome local spot for bbq. I’ve been coming here since 2015 and I’m thankful the quality is still the same. You never wait too long, staff is friendly, food is great and it’s affordable. Brisket sandwich is my go to. Any of their sides will do but the potato salad is great. I will always stop by here if I’m in the area.Food: 5/5
Chicken is raw. Cannot eat. $40 down the drain.
Ok. So I didn't want to bash this place but honestly the food was terrible. I had the brisket chopped and it was soggy, watery grease, and had an unpleasant smell. The meat was bland and the smoke didn't exist. The Mac & Cheese didn't taste fresh more like leftovers and the collards taste like they came out a can. Staff was nice and polite and definitely had a great vibe but BBQ was not on the menu. It was twelve o clock when I went and there was no smoke pouring out of that place so I would imagine nothing I ate was prepared many hours ahead of time.
I used to order from here often, however they changed their menu a little while ago and separated out the sides from every meal. I find that super cheap and tacky and behalf of the restaurant. I would rather they slightly increased the prices, but to increase it to the extent they did simply makes it unaffordable for takeout now. My husband and I would be $45-$60 for 2, let alone kids. The 8pm close was already a bit hard to abide by, but at this point I think they're forgetting locals.
Ribs and other platters are really good. If you get a full rack of ribs, and two sides, it's actually two days worth of food. The people working there are always kind and considerate. Wheelchair accessibility: They have a wheelchair ramp.
