Lodge at Pine Cove

I've stayed here a handful of times now. I love this place. I deeply hope that as this special getaway grows, it maintains its old world charm, personal touch, and warm character. #canadianhygge

My wife and I stayed here for a week on our honeymoon. It's really an incredible place. We hiked all of the trails; we canoed; we were even dropped off at the Five Finger Rapids for an afternoon with a picnic basket to enjoy. The owner and innkeeper, Alex, goes out of his way to provide the utmost hospitality. The food and the rest of the staff are all top notch. I am not exaggerating. This place is incredible. We will definitely return one day!

I absolutely adore this place. Safe and very accommodating, even adjusted meals for dietary restrictions if you have any. Have stayed here multiple times and was never disappointed.

My husband and I had our wedding at the lodge earlier this month, and every single person in attendance had a fantastic experience. The staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating. The food was so delicious (and the vegan options were incredible!). The cabins felt like home. We had the most amazing experience and look forward to celebrating future anniversaries on the French River with Alex & staff (and the dogs) in the years to come!! Thank you for such an incredible weekend.

Thank you Alex and all of Pine Cove staff for such a magnificent stay at your beautiful lodge. Due to the nature of my profession I tend to be above the norm sensitive to my surroundings. When on a break from my work I look for places that are aesthetically pleasing to the senses. Pine Cove Lodge did not disappoint and exceeded my expectations. Visually, it is a perfect setting or rolling hills and pristine clear waters with an abundance of foliage. The log cabins are charming and romantic (we stayed in the McKenzie) and my husband and I loved the over-sized hammered tub by a window overlooking the lake. The king bed felt like a cloud. I am particular about my pillows, these where perfect softness. We seen a lot of wild life, deer, bear, beaver, and many different species of birds. Alex was an incredible host and the boat trip to the rapids is a must, Alex is so knowledgeable of the French/English history of the area and it was a worth while afternoon. The food at the lodge was delicious and we enjoyed having dinner by the fire and in the screened porch. Scrumptious breakfast basket at our door every morning was a treat. The sounds of the birds in the morning was enchanting, but the sound silence during afternoon walks was so soothing to the soul;The French River is uniquely unspoiled by humans. We have been to many resorts in cottage country and beyond, I found Pine Cove to be better than most and as far as house keeping, fully equipped cabins, the best I have seen. The staff are truly hospitable and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Look forward to coming back soon. Paula and Jeff (Interior Designer)
