They have gorgeous and unique frames and they were so kind. I truly felt they were doing everything to accommodate me and my taste. Of course, their prices are not the cheapest in town, they can’t be because what they provide is a one of a kind service. They are like artisans of eyeglasses. They were extremely kind and patient with me. This shop is a true gem in Manhattan!

Fantastic selection and Kathleen is so wonderful at helping you select pretty frames that work with your face. I usually take a long time to pick out frames but she gave me so many great options, including custom colors, and really helped me narrow it down with her honest, expert opinion. I am very happy and the turn around time for the lenses is only 3 days. Really fast!

Loft is the best optician on the Upper East Side! They have a very welcoming atmosphere and are so helpful. Robert recently helped me fix a pair of sunglasses free of charge. I’ll definitely be back for my next pair of glasses.

The people at Loft Opticians are wonderful, friendly, and very helpful. They have a wide selection of frames that you won't find easily anywhere else. I came in for new frames with a prescription from my eye doctor, and they gave me so many frames to try on and were honest about how they looked on me. When I narrowed my choice down to a couple frames, they even took pictures of me in the frames to show to my friends while I went home to think about it. When I came in a few days later, they remembered me and getting the frames and the lenses was super easy and fast. They even cleaned up my old glasses! I love my new glasses!

I have long been meaning to write a review for this place. They have always been so helpful and wonderful, there is truly no place in Manhattan you can find such a professional, on premises team of eye doctors and optical technicians. This is a special, special place. They always do their best to fix the beat up old antique round framed glasses I'm ever dragging in in a state of disrepair because they are so impractical and I am always jeopardising their inconveniently delicate structural integrity. They go the extra mile, setting the lenses with special sealant and reapposing the bendable peices so as to allow that they will sit perfectly in place. Nobody else I have gone to has the equipment for this or makes so little fuss about it. I am truly always so thankful and it has meant a lot to me to have someone show so much concern.

While they do have a good selection, the sales associate does not take the time to breakdown your options for payment. She jumps to high end lens options without discussing what's covered in your plan. Unfortunately she assumes that you don't know much about vision insurance, but since I work in the space, it was clear to me that she's taking advantage of peoples' inability to understand the details of their plan in order to sell expensive frames and lenses.

So glad I researched and found Loft! I buy glasses yearly when I come to NY, was looking for a new store....now I am a happy customer of Loft...my new go to boutique! They were so helpful, courteous and patient! Found just what I was looking for! Yay!!!!

The owner or the lady in the store when I went seemed nice enough. Until it came down to price. I was in bad need of a pair of frames and she ended up charging me over double for them! She took someone who could barely see and decided to gouge them out of their money. Great way to run a business. Go somewhere else and save yourself a huge bunch of dollars instead of handing it over to these crooks. Absolutely shameful.

Kathleen Yao said she didn't need any formal education or a license to be an Optician. She didn't follow the prescription from my doctor. When we showed her proof of her mistake, she became hostile. BEWARE. She is very unprofessional and dangerous if you value your eyesight.
