This has always been a great spot and now that I live out of state I find that I miss it even more. I felt the the best times to visit vary based on the time of year and weather. You’ll rare find a crowd on rainy days. There is usually a good number of dogs in the later afternoon and early evening. On warmer hotter days the early evening “just before sunset” was typically the busiest time. Almost all of the dog owners are really friendly and of course there is always the dog park “alpha” roaming around, but have no fear, it’s all part of your furry child’s learning process. Let them get the full dog park experience and let them interact with other dogs. This is how they learn good social behavior, i.e. Helicopter Dog Parents vs. Ambulance Dog Parents. If you furry child is aggressive it pays to be a Helicopter Parent and possibly consider additional training before visiting this friendly park. Thanks for reading my review!
Good place for dogs. So many huskies!
Perfect place to bring your dog everybody here is friendly and there is also two different parks one part for small dogs and one park for big dogs Dog-friendliness: Perfect place to take your dog everybody here is friendly
Our dog Daisy IG: floofy.daisy loved this dog park. The astroturf grass was pretty clean and seemed to be well maintained. Lots of friendly dogs to play with and chase off leash in the decently sized fenced area.
Lovely dog park, well-maintained turf, and plenty big for both small and big dogs of all ages and activity levels. Our 1 year old Sheepadoodle pup absolutely loves this place!
I have been coming to Los Gatos Creek County park since 2017 and always enjoyed it but in 2020 we got a dog and began coming to the dog park inside the county park. This review is for the dog side. It is by far our favorite park. It one dog area split into two sides; one for large dogs and the other for small dogs. The gates are magnetic, so it takes a strong pull or push to open. Both sides are turfed but also have a packed dirt and rock area under some trees. There are a few benches and large rocks to sit on, two trash cans, and a water fountain that services both people and dogs. One of the benches is covered. Often there are leftover communal toys like tennis balls, tug ropes, or frisbees. There are waste bags and take/scoop combos for cleaning up after your dog's waste. I have never seen anyone leave their dog's waste behind, so the play area is always clean. It doesnt smell of waste unless you're near the trash cans. The dog owners who come here generally have well behaved animals, maintain control of their dogs, and disputes be between dogs are rare. Sometimes people bring dogs that are in training or wearing marked vests. Those owners are particularly attentive to their dog's needs in my experience. In 11 months, I've only seen two dogs that needed to be removed from the large dog side and the owners did so promptly. The turf is level and well maintained. I've never tripped or fallen. Covid related: there are no public sanitizer stations in the dog park. There are warning signs for high touch areas like the gates and fountain, but you should plan to being your own sanitizer or your own bowl and water if you want to avoid touching the fountain. Any time I have been there all humans complied with mask mandates.
Well maintained, gated sections for large or small pups. Mostly carpeted throughout so it is not too hot for their paws. There are also benches with some shades for dogs, or their owners, to cool off.
A wonderful place to let you dog loose to socialize. The have a space for large and a separate space for small dogs. A beautiful walk to get there on the Los Gatos Creek trail.
When the pitbulls and wolves aren't present it's great! It's where Willow Glen, Saratoga and Los Gateans can meet!
Great park! Has two sections, one section for the big dogs and the other for little dogs. Off-leash park with double gates to secure those little ones you love! There’s also water fountains for the dogs inside the gates. Many dogs come, it’s just a wonderful place to have your dog play and socialize.
