Amazing amazing food, I loved it. And I love all the vegan options, they know all the good brands!
I love their burritos! I get the regular vegan with added soy curls and lettuce. I would even go so far as to say these are BETTER than SF Mission burritos! Wow, did I just say that? They just know how to do it and everything has always been super fresh. I've been a customer since this stand was on Division and was very happy when they opened this location!
Very vegan friendly! All the mock meats they made in house are truly perfect. Staff was super nice and location was perfect, makes me wanna live upstairs! Dish was a bit messy with beans in same container to go that's my only complaint. Thanks for a great meal!
Some really excellent Mexican food in an unassuming spot. The food is fresh, tasty and authentic and the setup is pretty cool. An old car wash turned into an picnic type area with benches while the kitchen is out of a food cart. They have Mexican Coke and I totally recommend the fish tacos. Skip the Taco Time and Taco Bell next door and get a real taste of Mexico at Los Gorditos.
The burrito I got was supposed to have carnitas but it tastes like canned tuna. Texture was horrible and the overall taste of the burrito was very bland. I'm sure there must be other items on the menu that are better but in my opinion this place is over hyped. It's really not that great it's just a casual Mexican food cart. If you want great burritos go to the Yellow Mexican food cart at carts on foster, he makes the best burritos.
I've been coming here for food for almost eight years now and it's always been good. I've stood by Los Gorditos' Super Stacy burrito as the best burrito in Portland. food comes out really fast and service is very friendly. I'll always be bringing my friends here
Favorite huge inexpensive burritos, amazing free salsa/sauce and jalapeno, great prices Breakfast burritos all day long! Please, stay in this Foster / Powell area forever and get a liquor license for the Spring/Summer season! : Also, consider late nights on Friday / Saturday nights this coming warm seasons at both the SE locations!! Nothing hits the spot after the bars like LG.
Los Gorditos has a gigantic vegan menu that tastes as authentic as it can get. The onion tacos are absolutely delicious and a must try. I also love the breakfast burrito with soyrizo and the tofu bowl. I wish they had more things with vegetables other than the standard onions/bell peopers, like zucchini and carrots etc etc. Either way, excellent and super cheap.
I used to go here and enjoy the food but I ordered a burrito with no onions and apparently it pissed off the kitchen and they gave me a burrito that was 70% cilantro. No joke, a flour tortilla wrapped in a massive handful of cilantro. No way this wasn't intentional, I had already left a tip so it felt awesome to receive a pile of cilantro as punishment for disliking onions. Bad customer service, bad company. You lost a regular customer dating back to the 50th and Division days.
This place is the standard of food right here. The burritos are big heavy and most importantly delicious. They get my business because the standard of food is 1st they also treat you very kind with respect here too. Genuinely nice people with great food.
