The meats were perfectly charred and tasty. You have to order "con todo" and get cilantro, a slice of pineapple, onions and guacamole in it. They have red, green and pico salsas and lime wedges to dress it up. No cheese, lettuce, tomatoes or cabbage in the tacos. The tortilla was semi-crunchy and could have been better. The side of guacamole and chips was tasty as well. The orders are ala carte with tacos at $4.35 each. There was a food subtotal on my tab. I'm not sure what that was about. But if you're in the mood for tacos while in NY, this is the place. Located at the DUMBO area.
Dropped in 730 Monday night To get something to go. When I walked in it it was like I was invisible especially the girl at the counter by the register where are you ordered. I thought she was on another planet I got the pork burrito bowl which is $14 either didn’t come with any tortillas or they forgot. The food was fine though but I didn’t realize until I left that there is a little taco bar for me to put things on my burrito bowl I didn’t see you until I just read this website because everybody was in their own world. I like to give tips and I get this one too early And I need it five singles if I don’t bill and again the girl is puzzled I said it both in Spanish in English and she never said thank you. Anyways i probably caught it on weird night or something or full moon but for to go food little pricey but still good. I wish I had a couple soft tortillas though
Bangin tacos for a reasonable price. Had pork and chicken tacos with Lime soda. All the flavor you need to satisfy your taco fix.
Only tried the pork al pastor tacos and they were good. Preferred their red sauce to the green one. Fast service and good prices.
It was like going back to Mexico after the first bite. We had the Porl Tacos al Pastor and it was very tasteful, tender and Mexican. We went a few times to Mexico and tried Tacos in restaurants outside of the country. This is one of the few places where we found Tacos like the ones we found across Mexico. Will definitely come back again!Food: 5/5
Delicious tacos at a good price. Service quick and friendly, would definitely return for some takeaway action
In love with the Al Pastor Volcano tacos. They arw the most insanely delish tacos ive had.
Absolutely the worst tacos I've ever had the displeasure of eating. Dry, tasteless, oily and downright expensive. I ordered two chicken and a pork al pastor tacos. My chicken tacos consisted of rubbery skin, ligaments and every disgusting part of a chicken no one wants to eat. There was hardly any lean meat! I threw out the pork taco because all that was was pork fat and tasteless green sauce that is NOT guacamole on a single corn tortilla. Folks, there was zero flavor to these tacos! I'm not sure what the other reviewers ate, but this is an embarrassment to Mexican cuisine. Definitely a tourist trap and not worth your hard earned money. Stay away!
Really dry, bad tacos. And they have the audacity to charge so much for ‘em, too. I’ve had juicier tasting Mexican food at Taco Bell, and I hate Taco Bell. Let’s face it: East Coast taco makers are not as good as those in California, Texas, or Arizona. The ambiance here is mediocre with the thunderously ear-shattering subway rolling loudly overhead. And nothing says Mexican than playing really bad Colombian reggaetón music than classic mariachi or other festive-sounding Mexican tunes. So do yourself a favor, and consider a juicy, beefy street corner hot dog than this overly-priced place!
This rating is on the location, and aesthetics. The actual taco itself was a 3/5. I came to this taqueria during my lunch break and decided to buy 1 taco de al pastor. Off the bat, the locale was really appealing, clean and overall welcoming. Loved the feel of the place. Once I got my taco, it looked really good, like ready to devour good. I was already savoring it just by looking at my taco. First bite, the meat was crispy, which is a plus on my end. But then, that was it. The seasoning on the meat was ehh, almost bland tbh, but the tortilla was really good, and the rest of the toppings were okay. An okay taco doesn’t match the price I paid for this taco yes, it’s in DUMBO, what did I expect and I know flavor is a subjective topic so I didn’t want to rate this place for that. I had an overall good experience here. Location is .
