I hired Mike Sturza for several days last spring. His shop was a pleasant surprise with virtually everything you could want. He was the best value for guide service I've ever had. Not a real clock watcher so if it was getting a little late and it looked fishy we fished. Really enjoyed Mike.

Mike is seasoned fly fisherman and guide who truly loves what he does. He ties many of the flies you will use on your trips and you will find anything you need in his well stocked fly shop. I believe that nobody knows more about fishing the Cowlitz River or the local mountain lakes and streams than Mike Sturza. Over the last 5 years or so, I have spent at least a dozen trips with Mike and we always catch fish; two beautiful steelheads stick out in my recent memory. Actually, Mike still seams to enjoy watching me hook fish as much as I do in catching them; he invariably laughs out loud at the take.
