The rotisserie chicken was completely unseasoned and so was the steamed broccoli. Thankfully they had some hot sauce you can pour over it.Food: 2/5
We stopped in because the wife and kids were hangry and it was around the corner from our hotel. They seemed to enjoy everything they ordered, and I ended up having to go back multiple times for more gravy for the wife. This is definitely a compliment since we live in the south…She couldn’t get enough! I had the Louie’s Chicken Sandwich and it was just as good as promised! The best part was that the owner, Tom, interacted with us and took the time to chat with us and make us feel welcome! I asked him for a recommendation for some good Italian food in the area while we were there and he took the time to recommend a great place for us, which turned out to be amazing! We saw a few customers come in while we were there at the odd time between lunch and dinner, and it seemed everyone felt welcome and at home. I’d definitely recommend checking this place out! It’s rare to eat at a restaurant that the owner takes time out of his day to talk and visit with the customers!
The owner made us feel completely at home on our first day in New york. We had time to waste before work and tom welcomed us in with open arms and gave us a place to sit. He even told us places go during our stay and made sure we were comfortable. His kindness was unmatched and we will def be back!Food: 5/5
Hello, Tom! The chicken and sides were absolutely fantastic, and we had other coworkers staring at us from outside of the conference room, longingly looking at our food. Mostly, I appreciate your approach so much - your personal touch in delivering the food yourself to spending the time to introduce us to your offerings, and then follow-up via phone/text is tremendous. A+ for deliciousness / A+ for quality of ingredients and care taken in prepping the food / A++ for personal touch and customer service.
The food was really good. Ordered the family dinner with sides. The crisp of the chicken was delicious and extremely fresh. The service was outstanding. The owner went above and beyond to make our visit wonderful and made great accommodations for our large group. Our children were treated so well. I am very glad we chose this place!
I was looking forward to this and the service ruined it all. My husband went to pick us up a whole chicken and was told he has to wait 25 minutes. Instead he opted for 2 piece and mash potato side. His total came out to 24.95. When he asked the server why so expensive? He told him he made a mistake and added fries. His goal now came out to 16.98, fine. He brought it to the car so he can have a piece and I can have a piece, only to find out the server only put 1 piece in the bag. Now we are already near the bridge and won’t go back to fix this second mistake. Warning to all, please check your bill and food before leaving!! What a disappointment.
The owner and staff were very accommodating move tables and made us comfortable with a larger family !!! They helped with ordering food, and we're efficient with delivering food. He even gave us samples of Mac n cheese for the kids while we were waiting. I would definitely go back for the food and the wonderful people. Kid-friendliness: Gave us a great idea of what kids' items they had and even brought out a sample of the kids to try!
The vibe in this place is low key and nice. The food was hit or miss. Overall I really enjoyed what I had. The mashed potatoes were homemade and creamy. The chicken was decently seasoned and moist. The Mac and cheese was meh. It was too oily and not cheesy enough. And everything I had was luck warm. I know it’s presented in a buffet style. But the food warmers should keep be able to keep it hot enough. If it’s not hot or reasonably hot, it brings down the satisfaction.
I used Louie’s to cater my husband’s birthday party. Tom and his staff did a wonderful job! He supplied wonderful Italian food - appetizers, pasta, meatballs, sausage & peppers, salads and delicious birthday cakes. Yummy! Would use them again.Food: 5/5
I have had Pastrami, Phili cheese stake sandwich and gluten-free fried chicken. Pastrami and philiys were pretty decent but gluten free chicken was the worst fried chicken i have ever had in my life. I think the chef forgot to put seasoning on the batter and the chicken. It tasted absolutely nothing AT ALL just batter and chickenno salt. Perhaps it is good for your body since it is gluten free with no salt or pepper whatsoever but i just couldn't believe that the chicken i had to wait for 40mins to be cooked came out worse than the home cooking quality. The photo of gf chicken I found on google is looking spiced but the one I received was white-yellow looking. I couldn't be bothered to take photo of the chicken becos it didn't look appealing to me and i was waiting for 40mins and got tired.
