If you like karaoke, you’ll love Louie’s. A killer set up with a designated karaoke DJ booth, multiple screens, and a wireless set up that lets you be the star of the show or slink into the background if you don’t need the limelight…or can’t quite hit those notes like you thought you could. Drinks aren’t fancy but they’re also not expensive and staff is polite and friendly. Last visit the bartender even comped me a free drink for helping him turn away someone who had a few too many drinks at the bar before. Never overcrowded either which is nice if you’re just looking to hang out with friends/on a date and belt out a couple of your favorite tunes.

They must be under new management. Be aware that 20% gratuity is added to every tab and there is still a space on your check for additional tip. I saved a few people from tipping 40%. Also the Kareoke has removed any “vulgar” songs from there queue. Additionally they have added a measuring device to their liquor pours. Not knocking them pouring accurate drink volumes. Just another clue that the bar is under new strict management. Still a fun bar. But just be aware of these changes.

I have visited 4+ karaoke bars in Chicago so far, and my favorite place is here. During the most recent Chicago Sings karaoke competition, both first and second rounds were hosted here because people recognized the incomparable value this venue holds. Whether it’s for a birthday party, for a night out with friends, or singing alone, it is a safe & friendly environment to say the least Staff members do their best to make everyone’s experience enjoyable too. P.S. Drinks may seem like they are on the pricy end, but you need to remember that it includes the price of you singing too!

If you REALLY enjoy karaoke bars, you'll probably love this place and you can ignore the rest of the review. For everyone else being dragged to a karaoke bar with your "talented" friends, buckle up. The bar filled up super fast, it's very small, and the wait time at the bar was notable - but nothing compared to the 2+ hour wait to sing. We had a terrible interaction with a passive aggressive employee that almost ruined the evening as well. Oh well, we heard a few good singers, a lot of bad ones, and a few that even pedestrians walking by laughed at maybe that's why the windows closed at night!

It’s a very fun time but they charge 20% gratuity and do not tell you. They didn’t give an itemized receipt but asked for a tip on the receipt they gave so I double tipped. I asked for the itemized receipt and there was a 20% tip included in it even for a party of 2. I confronted the guy about it and he just kept saying he does what he’s told.

Cute, humble, quaint and warm. It's welcoming crowd for karaoke night, otherwise very quiet. Second date starter place, for sure

I loved this bar! Eric did such a great job running the karaoke! He was so friendly and supportive. Definitely my new favorite karaoke bar.

They charge over 6$ for a pbr, their cheapest drink, and told me I couldn’t order water when I didn’t feel like paying that much. Customers deserve more respect. It’s nothing fancy, 6$ pbr is an insult.

Karaoke DJ took down my friends name and then took the last song of the night for himself booo! Staff was nice and started turning up bar stools at 2:25... don’t blame them. The woodchuck was 10/10!
