You can always find something good to eat and have fun while you're there. A great atmosphere of down home country fun and entertainment for the whole family. Rides and games all day long. A variety of crafts. Something for everyone.

Family fun....every year it is always muddy at the fairgrounds. I wish they could have it somewhere other than the dirt part so it could be more convenient to walk or push strollers. Afforable

I'm always looking forward to the coming years Pecan Festival Festivities!! There's something new to see, do, taste and enjoy each year. The Festival itself is 3 days of fun, food, crafts, live music, parade, carnival, and more! The Pecan Festival will ALWAYS be held on the 1st FULL WEEKEND of November, Friday, Saturday and Sunday! The festivities get kicked off by Children's Day, held on Friday morning. Children's Day is FREE for ALL to come play games that will NEVER have them walk away empty handed! Volunteers organize, run, supervise and keep Children's Day fun and friendly for all age children. Receive a balloon, your face painted, win some candy/pocket prizes by playing your choice of the games, pet some critters w/ the LA 4H Club Members and their furry friends of all sizes! Snap tons of pictures while the kids have a wide range of fun, with friends, playing games, learning, growing and experiencing childhood at the fullest! Even if you don't have any lil ones, guess what? There's something for you at the Pecan Festival on Friday. Later Friday evening/Night the LAPF holds its Annual Queen Ball in honors of the LA Pecan Festival Queen held at the Colfax Civic Center located less than a mile from the heart of the festival on Front st. of Colfax, LA. From the live music from the bandstand, amazing food options, huge tree logs for sitting stretched as far as your eye can see down Front st, the beautiful arts and craft booths fill the street as well. You'd be surprised at the wide range of items that can be found, along with meeting the friendly booth owners amongst visiting the Arts and Crafts, available on ALL 3 days of the festival!! Now... there's 1 thing that's never passed up by Anyone I've EVER met at the LA Pecan Festival, thats- yep you guessed it-THE FOOD! Where to begin? An unlimited list to choose from, homemade LA Cajun Pistolettes have been a local Fan fave from the food vendors. You'll also find, Turkey legs, gator ona stick, chicken ona stick, meatpies, blooming onions, potato spirals, ft long corndogs, BBQ, hand tossed, open fire baked, Italain pizza made to order, etouphee, gumbo, fried deserts, kettle popcorn prepared in front of you, rootbeer floats and more can be found amongst the food vendors. As well as the unimaginable amount of homemade pecan goods, such as the WELL LOVED LAPF PECAN PIE, brownies, muffins, candies, sacks of pecans, jellys, preserves, sugar cane syrup that can be found at the LA Pecan House at the beginning of the craft booths. Even with ALL this FABULOUSNESS I've mentioned, still someone may not be impressed.... well guess what? There's STILL MORE to enjoy at the LAPF!!! I haven't mentioned the large carnival full of rides for ALL ages, the endless supply of carnival games to play, the classic funnel cakes and candied/carmel apples, cotton candy and pop corn you won't be able to resist while enjoying the carnival, which is located directly behind the food vendors and craft booths that line Front st, across the railroad tracks (be extra careful crossing the tracks to and from the carnival) In a large open field that's JUST for the Carnival! The carnival is open all 3 days as well. Friday, arm band day. Purchase an arm band, ride until you can't ride any more! Saturday, tickets, purchase sheets of tickets to be able to pay for each ride individually. As day turns to night Saturday evening, be sure to catch a ride on the ferris wheel to observe the OUTSTANDING firework display that's sure to take your breath away! On Saturday, get started by attending the well managed, fun, LAPF Parade at 10am. The parade route usually begins near the parish library, continuing down Main st, taking a left onto Front st. The Parade usually lasts 1.5hrs-2hrs. It's tons of fun! Sunday wristbands are available once more at the carnival, rides run from noon til 5pm on Sunday. You'll be sure to have a FANTABULOUS TIME at the LA Pecan Festival! Remember to Mark your calendars, the 1st FULL WEEKEND of November!
