Horrible customer service. I have spent a lot of money at the West Valley City location. I noticed the Lowe's associates standing around when I first walked in laughing and joking around. They didn't even ask if I needed help. I wanted to order an item that did not have in stock. The first person I approached, she looked at me like I was putting her out. The next person told me to approach the cashier and they can order again they told me to get with the return counter and they can help me, I approached her and she said to go to another area.. I told her that her fellow employees keep sending me to different areas and don’t seem to be getting any help. She said “ sounds like pass the buck Monday and said it shows the Murray location has the product. Feeling frustrated , I finally decided to leave and left the other products I was going to purchase on the counter. This is not the first time that I have encountered this. I went to the Murray’s location and received better service.
Lowes is a place of bad customer service. Product availability is all over the place. We ordered a gas grill a while ago. We had paid for it and we're waiting for it to be available. I got a message that it was a few weeks after ordering. We drove from almost 45 miles away to pick it up. We arrived and they had sold it to someone else. We had to get a refund. This year I ordered another grill from another Lowe's location. Paid for it and waited 2 weeks to get it. I showed up to pick it up and it was assembled. It wouldn't fit in my vehicle. I did not ask for it to be assembled to insure it would fit in my SUV. They would not disassemble it, they didn't have another one in stock, and I had to do a return yet again. I asked to speak with a manager and he would not talk to me face to face. He only talked to me through the associate at the counter on the phone. All he could do is offer free delivery. The last time I had something delivered from Lowe's, it was a disaster. My $2000 order was tossed out of the truck and damaged. This is why I opted to pick it up myself. Every encounter with an associate was rude. The kid that brought the grill to my car told me that my return was complete and proceeded to tell me to leave before I could talk to a manager. Lowes has lost my business. I hope this doesn't happen to others.
Jen Christensen and her team at the ProService department were of great help and provided excellent customer service. I ordered quite a bit of material for our home landscaping project, and Jen truly went above and beyond to ensure all the materials were correctly accounted for and quoted. She made sure our delivery was done correctly and followed up after our project was complete. This Lowes is by far the best in the Valley due to great employees like Jen. Thanks again! I'll be contacting them soon for future projects.
Very poor experience with the manager Kevan. I had an interview, which when I called ahead, they said he had left for the day. I was trying to be considerate and let them know I would be late, they said another manager would be there to interview me. I was interviewed, and afterwards the manager that interviewed me called and offered me the job, which I accepted. Then the next day I received an email saying that the position was filled... So when I called the day after that, to clarify, I talked to Kevan the manager, who said I should have interviewed with him... But he left before the scheduled interview I had set up with Lowes' recruiter, which is why the other manager interviewed me. I'm not upset that I didn't get the job, I'm upset that the only communication I had was a generic email saying I didn't get the job after I had been offered it... I have already contacted the support team at Lowe's about this as well. I've worked in customer service for 10+ years, this was a very disappointing experience.
This particular Lowe's location was not all that hard to find. It did seem like there were a number of workers that were willing to help but never asked to help me. I will probably shop here again, but only if I can't find something at Home Depot. There are also a number of items that I had a hard time finding, but once I asked a sales associate where it was, they were able to point me in the right direction. I hope that my experience next time will be better than this time, there is always room for improvement.
Disappointing policy and customer service. I went to return two vent covers the total cost was about $29 and was told that there are no refunds after a 90 days. We had just finished a home remodel that took a few months and I bought a few to see which one we wanted, which is why I waited so long. Now that's my fault and they are within their right. I WANTED to say this to the associate: "I know this is not your fault and it's corporate policy, but I find it frustrating that I can't return items that are still in BRAND NEW condition. They were never used and are still in the packaging. Your store still has them on the shelves and you can put them right back, ready to be purchased by someone else. These aren't tools I used for a few months and decide they don't work for me. They've NEVER BEEN USED." That's what I wanted to say. HOWEVER, all I got to say was, "I know this is not your fault, but...," When I was interrupted by the associate, who said, "There's no 'buts' about it, sir, that's store policy. I'm sorry." So, I just handed the associate the vent covers and instead said, "Well, I have ZERO use for these, so I'll just leave them here. You can put them back on the shelf and resell them anyways. I was going to turn around and spend the money on something else I needed, but not now. I suppose Lowe's keeping that $29 is more important than a customer returning and continually spending more at their store. I'll do my business somewhere else.
Almost got hit in the parking lot last night from an oncoming car in my lane that wouldn't move right in front of the store. The whole parking lot was full of cars for some hispanic party on Saturday night. I didn't feel safe there and won't go there again at nights if this commotion isnt stopped.
The only reason they got 3 stars was because of the in store service. Went in to buy a new washer. Salesman in the store was pleasant to deal with and informative, however, when it was delivered they were in and out so fast, I didn't even have time to think if I had any questions. When they left, I discovered that they hadn't leveled the washer, even though I asked him about it and he said it was level so now I have to have someone come help me do that, along with having to take time off to do it, they had pushed a button to start a cycle on the washer but never turned the taps to the water lines back on! Called store to complain and got the usual "We are sorry about your experience and will pass the information along so that the delivery drivers can be talked to"...no wonder they were a good hour and a half ahead of my scheduled delivery window!
Lowe’s is impressive. Got help the moment I walked in. Which is good because I need help . I like finding what I need and getting out of there before I buy the whole store. So much going on in there. If you can’t find what you need there, they haven’t invented it yet. Definite stop for more at some point.
11am on a Saturday buying a whole bucket of plumbing fittings along with several 10ft lenghts of pipe. Forced to scan dozens of items with 1 hand while holding the pipes with the other. Do you think there's a checkstand open? Nope. Just 4 self checkouts being run by an older lady with a walker while a line forms into the electrical department. Let me guess, you're very sorry and this is not the service I should expect...save it. I'm going to HD where they at least give you the option.
