I had severe pain on my wisdom tooth for two weeks and the root canal specialist was not able to help. I called two oral surgeons and they could not help schedule a tooth extraction for another two weeks. Finally I called Dr. Lucca, he saw me on the same day and I had my tooth extraction the day after. The whole procedure only took 15 minutes with no pain at all or swelling. After 36 hours I was already pain free. I didn't need to take any pain killers before, and after I only took antibotics. Dr. Lucca's team even called me the next day to follow up and answer my questions. I am so happy with the result and really appreciate the amazing work Dr. Lucca performed. He is calm, caring and expained all the details to make me feel comfortable. I am able to eat normally again after 3 days. Thank you so much Dr. Lucca!

Mario is great! After he took my X Rays, explained to me what was going on & also visually showed me on the X Rays. So helpful! You can tell he cares about his patients and makes sure they are receiving the best care. Definitely recommend Mario!

Dr. Lucca extracted a molar for me. From beginning to end, it was a nightmare. He worked on the tooth for 75 minutes. I was in excruciating pain, raised my hand, and he completely ignored me for about 10 minutes before he gave me additional anesthesia. He and his assistant also didn’t pay attention to pieces of the tooth that should have been vacuumed away from the inside of my mouth, I swallowed a piece, and choked on it. After a harrowing experience, I was in tears. I asked him what went wrong. He said “nothing,” and walked away. He didn’t even check to make sure he got all of the pieces out. He failed to extract two pieces of the tooth and damaged my jaw bone in the excruciating process. I had to go elsewhere to have the jawbone repaired and the pieces removed. Dr. Lucca did an awful job in every possible way.

Long overdue post - I went to Dr Lucca to get my wisdom teeth removed in Summer 2019. I was super nervous, however, he did a great job and I had a speedy recovery! I highly recommend him if you are looking to get your wisdom teeth removed. Thanks so much!

I had impacted wisdom teeth at 30 and have been having facial pain for several years. I wanted to search around for the best care in Boston. I can confidently say Dr. Lucca and his office is one of the best. Out of the several oral/facial surgeons I saw, his exam was the most thorough, and he asked questions beyond the scope of wisdom teeth removal to ask about the facial pain I was having and how other forms of treatment might be beneficial as well. His staff is also fantastic. Surgery went super well, recovery went well, completely satisfied with the experience. I was incredibly anxious about getting my wisdom teeth out, specifically about the anesthesia and sedation process. Dr. Lucca and his staff took the time to really listen to my questions and they provided me with insightful answers and explanations that helped ease my anxiety. The time difference between my initial consult and the day I booked my surgery was around 5 months so they even let me come in for a second consult for free. Dr. Lucca and team are top notch. I had my first ever tooth extraction and I was beyond anxious. They explained everything in a very straightforward manner, talked through the options available to me and provided written cost estimates for each option. It helped me make a very informed decision that worked for me. I have a terrible fear of dental procedures and they made me feel comfortable at every step of the procedure. They really made an effort to get to know me, which is really important to me. Quick appointment to prepare for a biopsy on my tongue recommended by my dentist. Straightforward presentation about the process and its aftereffects. Procedure was indeed briefly painful but staff was supportive. I highly recommend Lucca for professionalism and understanding!
