The relleno burrito was delicious. Great place to get a quick bite unless some entitled people decide to take half the tables for a meeting during lunch rush. Some people just suck but this place is amazing!Food: 5/5
The people who work this place are very personable and kind. The food is exceptional. They put love and culture in their food consistently, every time I go. I would call this authentic Colorado Mexican food.Food: 5/5
I’m so glad this establishment survived Covid. It’s a great neighborhood spot that I can walk to for breakfast burritos. The staff is friendly and the food is good! Let’s keep supporting our local businesses!Food: 5/5
The best Mexican Hamburger! It is just as I remembered it as a child. I was thrilled to be back in the neighborhood and see this staple still there and still making stellar food.Food: 5/5

Food was amazing and served within minutes. Fresh cracked eggs and hand made tortillas in the quevos Rancheros were definitely worth coming back for. I love this family owned business. They have been the greatest to me and my family for years. Every time I come to town and make sure to stop by to enjoy their delicious enchiladas and green chili. Make sure you take some other wonderful food and the great hospitality. Kid-friendliness: They live the kids
I went there on Cinco de Mayo as I was in the neighborhood. I Googled Mexican restaurant. The lady at the counter was as sweet as could be when I first placed my order. She was talking to me about the history of the restaurant and was calling everyone in sight "Baby" which was fine. I sat down and ate my 3 taco special. The price was reasonable; $7 or $8. I heard her talking to the young man working with her about the 60+ year old restaurant history, the neighborhood and how she wasn't a Lucero but he was. She was telling him about his grandfather who I'm guessing started the restaurant. Anyway I decided to order some Enchiladas and Nachos to take home with me. The guy working with her was young enough to find humor when he thought I asked for "Pot" instead of asking if the meal came with a "Pop" I was born in Denver but unfamiliar with that neighborhood. She was already talking about it so I asked her some more questions about how old the houses were around there and if she grew up in the neighborhood. She took my order but shunned me otherwise. It was definitely off putting and downright rude as she continued to talk to two guys that were sitting there. I spent over $30 bucks there and came home. When I opened my sack to eat later that night, I noticed that I had Tamales instead of Enchiladas and a small bag of Nacho cheese chips with a container of meat and melted cheese. The food was okay, but I've had better. The tacos were the best option. I would have given them a higher rating if it wasn't for the attitude of the woman at the counter. I realized later that she was phishing for tips. It wasn't like she was waiting on tables. I hope someday tips go away and they pay people at restaurants a decent wage if that's the way they're going to act.
Got the combo plate, never heard of a smothered taco and tostada, so the shells were mush, won't be back.Food: 1/5
