Very nice and very clean establishment with newer furnishings and decor. Waitress was unbelievably nice and very attentive. We had the fried oysters and the Monday/Tuesday shrimp and fish special. Food was amazing and came out very fast still steaming. We also had the beignets for dessert. All were very fresh and very good. We loved this spot. We will definitely be back. A+
We ate here last week. I wanted to go because they have oysters on the half shell. When mine were served they were lukewarm. I ate a couple but was afraid to eat the rest. None were cut away from the shell so I had to do that myself. I also ordered some d=fried oysters. They were very small and served on shells that still had pieces of raw oyster attached. I found all of this to be disturbing. I will not ever go back to this place again.
This is my favorite place to eat seafood. We ordered the crab leg combo Raging Cajun / Hot to Trot. The food came out timely and would have expected it to be just as good. Well today there was no seasoning in the sauce or on the food. No Raging Cajun or Hot to Trot. Just Bland. Very nice waitress always smiling and asking if you need anything.
It's... Okay. The photos I took of my shrimp gumbo and what they post on their site is totally different. The one on their site looks delicious but theirs an actual difference. The taste is okay and nothing to brag about - seemed like it was missing some things. The shrimp etouffee looked like a campell's bowl of chicken and rice and was extremely salty. The crab dip was very good. It's somewhat expensive for the other seafood they have. We were the only ones sitting while we was there.
Good food but price seemed high. Happy hour on website is different than on store. The back room to the restroom is very crowded. The food itself came out very fast and was delicious!! The crawfish could have been cooked longer and lots of people around us were saying that. I would come here again and this is family friendly.
When out of town we love to try new places. Lulu's had large raw oysters to satisfy anyone's desires! We tried a half dozen fried. Shucked from the shell, battered, deep fried and placed back in the dried shells they came out of. Perfectly cooked. Crab leg and shrimp boil had generous portions, equally cooked/ steamed to perfection. Great wait staff. Would def return when in the area again. Highly Recommend!
I just came from Lulu's and I am sooooo disappointed. I have eaten here a few times before and it was great! But what I've experienced today is horrid! Below are pics of the Catfish plates I received! 3 dinners, equally horrible! They're fried in old grease and they're burned! If I could give them a -10, I would! I WILL NEVER GO BACK! Taught me a $45 lesson! This Catfish looks like overcooked chicken tenders, the coleslaw has no cole juice, it's just some slightly wet cabbage, hushpuppies have no choice but to be quiet because they're drowning in grease, and the fries were cold and limp..... Don't let the good reviews fool ya! They came from patrons of the old owners! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
The crawfish has no seasoning on it. It’s cooked, the weight is there. Prices are great! It just seems boiled without the seasoning.
Everything was good, except it was missing that umph. The fried catfish had a beautiful crisp to it, but there was absolutely no seasoning on it which was disappointing. The crab legs and shrimp were cooked very well but we didn't taste the sauce until the very last few bites. I just had a higher expectation of flavor and was let down.
Great low key seafood restaurant located in the heights. Fantastic food in a relaxed environment, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our meals were top notch and delicious, from the crabcakes to the snow crab legs. Definitely one of my favorite local spots for tasty seafood.
