Embraced by God’s love, Reformation is a dynamic, multigenerational community called to love and serve the world in Christ’s name. You're welcome here!
Thank you for taking time to learn more about what God is doing through the Reformation faith community. We hope you find the answers to the questions you have about our ministries. Please join us for worship on Sundays at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. so we can meet in person. We look forward to taking the next steps of our faith journeys with you.
God’s good news in Jesus Christ gives us freedom and courage to wonder, discover and boldly participate in what God’s up to in the world. From joyful worship to our daily work, from personal prayer to congregational service ministries, sharing God’s love is what we do.
Liberated by God’s grace, Reformation welcomes and embraces all God’s children. With God’s help, we create an inviting and brave space in which we celebrate and share all our gifts. Whether you’re a toddler or a marathon runner, a DC native or a Hill intern, happily single or in a budding romance, a married gay couple or discovering love again after divorce, we trust God is alive in your life.
We publicly proclaim our intentional welcome and deep commitment to reparations and reconciliation in two important areas. Our faith liberates us to welcome each person in their wholeness—questions and complexities, pain and sorrow, pride and joy. We hope to accompany one another in our faith journeys, seek justice, and embrace in peace.
Reformation welcomes and supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer Christians and their families in all aspects of our church and civic community. Since 1987, we have been leaders in ReconcilingWorks, a national LGBT ministry.
God also bridges the gaps and breaks down the dividing walls of race and class. The Holy Spirit inspires Reformation’s celebration of human cultures and guides our work for racial and economic justice. Our chief partner in this work is the Washington Interfaith Network.
