As a Tourist in US. First time try Jamaican foods. Fresh made. Fresh ingredients. Spacious space for dine in , football table ? and counter waiting for pick up or dine in. Various menus to try with affordable prices. Extremely sweet and friendly staffs. I got gyro falafel and tasted fantastic. Jamaican puff tastes so good. Peach drink tastes so nice. Jerk chicken with streamed veggies and rice and bean also tasty but not spicy to me at all but spicy for my boyfriend.
A great experience indeed! Something for everyone. I visited at about 3:45 hoping for minimal wait time and crowd. The wait was not too long but there is a nice place to sit and no crowd . 1 Kids jerk sandwhich with fries 6 jerk wings 1 small oxtail with rice and beans /steamed veggies 1 large curry chicken platter with rice and beans /steamed veggies. The only thing missing was the festival I wanted to try. I only asked for 1 which is likely odd so it wasn't in the bag. Everyone enjoyed so it's worth a second trip. Features: Counter bar with stools as well as a clean area in the rear with tables and chairs. I wore a mask by choice to wait inside
I ordered through Uber Eats early on Saturday afternoon. The staff called me and told me they didn’t have curry chicken nor carrot cake. They offered brown stew chicken instead. The order arrived and all the food was old from the day before. Never had hard brown stew chicken in my life. The Patties, both beef and chicken, are not fresh but probably frozen and reheated. My man loves jerk chicken and not only was the portion small, but it just didn’t taste that great. Ordered 6 festivals and only received 4, then to top it off, my receipt was never adjusted for not getting the carrot cake. Worse experience with a Caribbean restaurant by far. I’m pregnant and also from Brooklyn, so I don’t play with my food. This was unfortunate and I won’t be ordering again.
I got the ackee and salt fish with festival bread as side orders. it was really good, but what I like most about this restaurant is the customer service. The man and lady at the front are really nice, respectful and attentive, my food took a bit of time to come out but I didn’t mind because I’ve really had this type of customer service experience at a Caribbean restaurant. I will definitely be back to try more things.
The jerk chicken was everything. Rice and peas were good even the cabbage was done good! A little sad only one plantain but ut was also delicious. Friendly cashier. Glad I dropped in!
Disgusting. They put barbecue sauce on Jamaican jerk chicken. The plaintains were cooked right and the Patties were nasty. Never coming back
Let me tell you. In Lyndhurst n looking for a food spot n Boom! Cane across this joint. Had my Caribbean Sampler my gone girl had the jerk shrimp dinner. It was awesssooommee. Well seasoned n tasty. Would've like.my wing well done but didn't know it was being done from scratch.. Will definitely keep them in mind nxt visit in the neighborhood. Thanks guys Ras
I found this spot close to where I was working and wanted to try it out. I ordered my food online of the curried chickpeas, rice and peas and cabbage with a side of festival. I also ordered 2 waters and it came to $14.61. The site said it would take 20 minutes til done. When I arrived I told the man I was picking up and it wasn't quite ready yet. The server was very nice. It took about another 10 minutes for the food to come out. I got my food and left. When I got in I ate and the food was just ok. I added hot sauce to add a little flavor to it. The festival was just ok as well. All in all I had a decent experience.
Everything was amazing! Fresh!!! And the customer service was great. My only regret was not getting more gravy for my rice but that’s me just being greedy. Definitely will be back
Great service. Very nice staff. The food can use way more seasonings. Definitely from the Tourist side of the island. Maybe cook the food in Kingston instead = Here pictured is a jerk chicken kabab platter, stew chicken platter, jerk wings which were the best out of everything what they call rasta pasta w/ chicken, & festival.
