It’s my favorite wine bar. If I ever have my own wine bar, I’d love to make it just like it. It’s small, dark, lit by candle light only. They have a select but amazing collection of reds, whites, and bubbles, and beer, all amazing. It’s been a while since I’ve been, but can’t wait to go back!
Absolutely wonderful bar. Bartenders know their stuff and can offer you a wine that fits your fancy depending on any mood you're in. Also have beer and a deep sake list if there are other things that tickle your fancy.
Friendly and fast service with very affordable happy hour prices, and good options for both indoor and outdoor seating. Favorite wine bar in the NW area
Just visited once today and they ran out of beer, so 3 stars else I'm sure they'll have 5 star. Servers were nice and suggested good drinks. Outdoor seating is nice but they ran out of gas on 31st. I guess better prepare for these spike traffic on special occasions to get really high ratings.
It's the smallest bar in Portland! It's also the perfect spot to people watch while you sip on a glass of wine. I meet friends here frequently and we've always a had a great time. It's dog friendly both inside the bar and outside if you have a furry friend. You just need to bring your own snacks if that's what you're looking for.
Brilliant little space. Reminiscent of the Parisian cafes in both size and ambiance with some indoor seating and huge windows that open to the street and a few tables outside to just relax and people watch. Probably the best wine HH in Portland. Knowledgeable and kind staff. Great patrons. Try to stop by any time you’re in the area just for a glass.
Lovely wine. A man was harassing male patrons at this bar and no one said or did anything which was upsetting. Please create a safe space for all individuals and your wine bar would be great!
Perfect taste of European living right in the heart of the Alphabet District. This hole-in-the-wall is easy to miss, but you shouldn't. Candlelit, cozy, great selection of wines, a few choice beers on tap, and two separate happy hours!! You have to be okay with being close to other people here.... And if you can muster that strength, you'll probably make a friend or two. This is a popular spot for folks in the industry with it's late hours and late night happy hour, as well as locals with dogs dogs are welcome in the bar as well as on the patio! The bartenders are knowledgeable, winethusiastic and friendly, which helps to warm this gem of a nook into the perfect date spot. When you're feeling nostalgic for the Paris of Fitzgerald and Hemingway, stroll down NW 21st and grab some wine at M Bar. located between Kim Jong Smokehouse & Trader Joe's' loading docks
Does mbar mean it's a microbar or a minibar or a millibar? Nonetheless, this little bar serves great cocktails and beer in a semi intimate setting. Definitely not recommended for larger parties as it is a very small bar
Tiny bar, great beer and wine selections. Tiny bar, super loud, totally packed. Patrons actually interact with each other no way? In Portland!? If you I have social anxiety, avoid.
