Calling M.Judson a "bookseller" doesn't do the business model justice. I've been in the Greenville area about eighteen months now, and have had several experiences at M.Judson from browsing their selection to enjoying a lunch at The Chocolate Moose, a cafe inside the bookstore. But it's the events that M.Judson's hosts and coordinates that proves beyond a doubt that these are book-loving folks.
My first event was a wine and book pairing where authors appeared to discuss their books. Wines were thoughtfully selected to represent something about each book, and it was a casual event, fun for a girl's night out (if you're both bookworms).
My second was a dinner for storyteller and journalist Bob Dotson, which included a four course meal prepared by a Hall's Chophouse chef. Slightly more formal, with a sit down program that included a fabulous speaker (wine, beer, and a mixed drink), my husband and I had an incredible time.
There's a luncheon this week I may or may not be able to get to, but all events include a copy of a book, and really, anything that centers around reading hooks me. These themed events are perfect. Not only are these folks booksellers, they're foodies, too. I've never had anything I didn't enjoy here. I highly recommend looking past M. Judson's shelves, which are adorable and well-stocked for such a small bookstore, into the M. Judson "experience," which is as unique as it is incredible.

Love this place! If you are looking for a fascinating collection of books and gifts look no further. They also have unique community events that bring book-lovers together.
It is small so selection is limited. The advantage: I can browse a curated array of books from many genres that I would not have time to peruse in a larger setting. A particularly interesting variety of local, YA, and children's liturature.

Love this place - so cool!!
Like a little treasure hunt. Neat stuff in every nook and cranny. The building it's in is beautiful, and it shares the space with a coffee shop and a couple other places.

Fun little bookstore with a nice selection of unique books. Inside, there's a little cafe and cupcake place. Definitely worth checking out.
