Love the deals on jewelry - especially during the holidays. They stay open up to 1:00 a.m. for Xmas. 'Watch' selections are diverse and top of the line. Staff is very helpful and they will hold items for 24 hours if you need extra time to pay. I've enjoyed purchasing gifts there for others.
I used to love going to the Ballston Mall Macy's because of the location, but also the selection was always pretty decent. Oh what a change. While Ballston Mall got a cosmetic recharge, Macy's is the only real store left and the selection of women's clothing was horrendous. The petite section is no more and sizes were just all mish-mashed together. Turns out, most of the clothing are returns put on the rack. Not only that, but it would be easier to find an invisible needle in a mountain of hay than finding a sales associate. Zero stars for clothing; however, the makeup and home goods were better experiences.
The staff it's so nice, they give my friend and I a cupon and everything! It was really nice and quiet very clean and I promise the cashier give a 5 star review
This is the only store left in the Ballston Mall. All the other shops and stores are gone! It's like walking through a ghost town. There is an eatery place open in the mall. Macy's was not buzzing with customers either. The trip was a total waste of my time because I was not going to Macy's. But I am glad that I know the situation of this mall. So unless you are looking exclusively for a Macy's to shop at, cross this location off your list.
Walter helped us figure out sizes and was professional, helpful, and made the shopping experience easy. We got everything we needed and will definitely come back.
Staff on the Macy's are usually okay but Ballston store number 086 Ghipei on Macy's jewelry section, helped me a lot today. She knows her job. Thank you Gripe. Definitely suggest her while shopping at Macy's Ballston Arlington VA jewelry section.
This Macy's looks very empty. Returned DKNY boots but couldn't get a replacement because this Macy's doesn't sell DKNY. Go figure....
It was kinda depressing to walk into this Macy's and see it as a vestige of what big box stores used to be, especially when so much of the space is cordoned off and housing naked mannequins and empty racks. Because of this their in-store selection is extremely limited and underwhelming, though we did manage to find what we came for which were new sheets and towels. Our experience with customer service was good as she had to help us split our payment over several gift cards, but ultimately I can't say I'd feel like coming back.
No one knows what they are doing, if you can even find someone to help you. They couldn't handle a basic in store return for an online order. I hope it closes soon so something better can take this prime real estate.
This is a really bad Macy’s to a downright depressing degree. It’s cramped, poorly organized, poorly staffed, poorly lit, Falling apart and kinda gross to look at and legitimately feels almost abandoned and downright sinister. I’m legitimately shocked that with Macy’s closing lot’s of stores, Competition from other locations that are only a metro ride away, and that massive remodel of Ballston Common Mall into Ballston Quarter, that this store continues to remain in business.
