I’ve been going to Sam Jr. for 7 years, and I can confidently say he is the best barber in NYC. After trying many barbers before him, I’ve never needed to look elsewhere since finding him. He is a true master of his craft, paying meticulous attention to detail with every cut. Despite being incredibly busy and booked, he is always on time and never gets distracted. If you’re looking for a barber who consistently delivers exceptional service, look no further. Highly recommend!

Fantastic place. Aleas the barber did a fantastic job. Precise, methodical, patient and efficient. Cleans as he goes and great with a blade. I highly recommend. Came across this place four months ago while staying at the Hotel Chelsea and make it a point to come back every trip. Update: 1.21.24 - Came back again and Ellie did a fantastic job. This is a must for anyone wanting a great haircut!

My normal barber recently retired and I was in need of a new barber. I’ve seen this place on ticktok and instagram and was decided to come here. Making an appointment online was super easy and straightforward. You do have the choice of choosing your barber but, since I had no preference, I chose whomever and was paired with Diana. They do require a deposit in order to complete your appointment. At first I was skeptical but, still went for it. I came in 10 minutes before my appointment and waited maybe 5-7 minutes while she was finishing up a person before me. She was super friendly, professional and kind. She was helpful in helping me decide what kind of cut to go with, what style goes best with me. Overall, it took a little bit less than an hour and I’m extremely happy with my cut and I will definitely be coming back with Diana!

Great service, with a couple of European barbers which means your experience will be so much better and your haircut flawless compared to usually painstakingly slow American barbers who can't do a proper fade.

I've had the pleasure of having Sam Jr. as my barber for the past 2 years. It's hard to find a good barber but when you find one as invested in not only their craft but their customers' satisfaction once the buzzer is turned off.. that's rare. Sam's skillset speaks for itself and you can bank on looking like a million bucks after each cut. My biggest challenge is going to be finding a barber even half as good in California. #ConsistencyMatters!!

Absolutely the best place to get your haircut. When you walk in you’re treated with respect and hospitality that rivals if not crushes any barbershop I’ve ever walked into. My man Sam is nothing less than a perfectionist who takes pride in his craft. I am 31, hair line receding every year and no matter how nervous I am, Sam reminds me I’m in the hands of a master barber. I walk in wearing a hat to hold down my long messy hair. un-professional..showed up 10 mins early to an appointment and they said go across the street to the other location. same thing at the other location. unprofessional and lazy. I walk in and tell him their guy sent me here asking for someone else. I booked this early way before work and they proceeded to waste my time and take a $40 deposit for a haircut I didnt get. horrible.
