Folks tell us we are one of the warmest congregations in the city, a big church that feels like a small church. We are a diverse group of Christians in just about every way. Recently, many young families have joined us, as well as a growing group of young singles. We also have very active ministries for mid-timers and seniors.
We are known for our traditional worship service, including compelling preaching that appeals to both the intellect and the heart, weekly communion, awe-inspiring music that is among the very best to be found in this city. We are also known for active outreach ministries both here and abroad, especially Africa.
We hold in common the desire to be faithful to what God is calling us to do and be as those who would follow Jesus Christ by loving God and sharing his love with our neighbor, especially those whom Jesus called "the least".
The mission of Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church is to bring people into the transforming presence of Jesus Christ through worship, teaching the Word, Christian nurture, and ministry in and to the world. As Christ's ministers, our members are striving to build a community of God's love, justice and mercy, trusting God to lead us into faithfulness.
Why not join us for worship? We worship on Sundays at 9:00 am and 11:15 am from September through May. During the summer months we worship at 10:30 am. Communion is celebrated at all services. Dress comfortably.
