The coffee is definitely Folgers. Considering two blocks away there a stump town so I won’t ever go back. It’s the cheapest coffee I’ve ever tasted and there’s an extreme sour aftertaste. Their food looked really good but if you can’t make black coffee right I’m not coming back!
I really want to love this place- their bagels are good. I’ve been twice and both times my orders were wrong, the upgrades I paid more for weren’t there and the things I asked to be taken out were there. I tried once in person, they read back my order and still did it wrong and once ordering online which reflected my modifications. I don’t get it….
I liked this place, until I realized they charge for a cup of ice water even when you buy a whole meal. Lol, what kind of mom & pop cafe charges for a cup of ice water? Just seems cheap. The best part about this place was walking here to get a snack or cup of coffee in this nice weather- I don’t want to have to do that while lugging my own water bottle. Probably won’t be coming back here. Dealbreaker for me, unfortunately.
While the breakfast sandwiches are some of the best, the coffee is good except that half the time I've ordered it, it has not been what I ordered. The pita sandwich I got today was burnt and bland. We didn't receive our chips and cookies and the total was almost $50 :. Idk if it's just new employees or what, I know that that the hiring market it tough but I feel like this place isn't living up to it's potential at the moment.
One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a long time! It seemed a bit pricey but it's made from really fresh stuff, so I didn't mind. It's a pretty quaint little shop, great for reading or conversation.
What a gem. Relaxing homie atmosphere. Great drinks and good selection of snacks and pastries. Plenty of room for small or medium groups. Very much a living room feel. Also, lots of wall plugs for getting some work done. Will return and would highly recommend.
This place is by far my favorite cafe in all of Portland. Open early, friendly service, great coffee and the BEST bagel sandwiches. Coming in to Madrona Hill before work is the best part of my day. Keep it up!
Service is friendly and inconsistent. Hours are erratic. Experience limited to outdoor Window service and baked goods purchase.Food: 4/5
Stopped here for breakfast one weekday when I was early for work. It's clean and quiet and the barista was incredibly friendly. Food was delicious and coffee was fantastic.
Food always great, but their hours have been really sporadic lately. Please update Google/website.
