the atmosphere of this place has def potential..however..the food is severely lacking...ordered the spinach dip appetizer... it was as if someone literally put a block of frozen spinach in some white queso and stuck it in the microwave. i ad the bangers and mash which was described as garlic mashed potatoes with a onion gravy on top... no garlicy taters were received... just potatoes with some brown 'gravy' on top and some scallions... the sausage was surprisingly good. my friend ordered the turkey panini... literally was one slice of what appeared to be turkey from a pack of oscar meyer cold cuts and one piece of ham...of the same oscar meyer variety and POSSIBLY a single slice of cheese that was at best, maybe folded in half...... see the picture for proof...if i had the choice to go here or go to a kiosk that sold nuts in a bag and salt water taffy...i would get the taffy and nuts...
We had the opportunity to eat here twice in the past two weeks. The corned beef sandwich and fries were very good. One server Cindy Pittman took care of the entire restaurant. She was efficient, extremely gracious and seemed to handle it all with ease. We were dealing with a four hour flight delay, so we had plenty of time to enjoy the pleasant , quiet surroundings.
So I come to this airport restaurant every time I fly out or into Memphis. The two lady bartender/waitresses are AMAZING! They were very busy this Monday due to flight delays/weather and so food and service was delayed slightly. But....I feel that it is the manager that is lacking particularly the manager named Mike...as while this was all transpiring...I did not lift a finger to help the one waitress responsible for the entire place. He instead enjoyed his big salad while watching the poor lady try to manage everything. Unacceptable. I will continue visiting this restaurant when I pass thru the airport because I feel that it is NOT the fault of the staff...but of the management. Needs to to fixed ASAP as customers were upset because of the service.
Pretty disappointed, service was okay but uneven. Garlic mashed potatoes were so dry & garlic-less, onion gravy was wet, I'll give them that. For the life of me I can't understand why they used plastic cutlery & styrofoam plates! I asked for my sausage well done, it burned a hole in my plate! And melted my fork & knife as I cut it!! Had to get a replacement set to eat!!! When I asked for butter for my potatoes because I ran out of gravy, the butter was frozen!!! All of those little things add up to a big problem. And seriously, what's the deal with the Voss water bottles on the table? I know why you do it but how much money can you be making from that deal?
Let's start with the waiter[Peggy] if you see her, you're better off going to Starbucks. Not only was she exhibiting a disgusting behavior she clearly tried to avoid me at all times. I asked for a drink and she gave me a watered down drink. Brings my food and lays it down like I'm a dog. The food was somewhat ok. The portion was small, not seasoned properly and overpriced. When I go to ask for my check she ignores me the first time, the second time she does a hmm to me. Puts my check down in front of me and stares at me as if I'm not going to pay or whatever. I'd be surprised if she's ever gotten more than a $2 tip. I would've gotten better service at a Dunkins. First and last time ever going there.
Ordered the fish and chips. Asked the server if she has had them, her reply was "no, I eat with my family". Alarms should have gone off right then and there. They put a spice on the batter which does NOT belong on fish and chips. But the Guinness was served perfectly. So, since Memphis is a long way from Ireland, don't expect too much authenticity in terms of food from here.
The worst food i ever had, chips dripping grease. Turkey avacado panini a sliver of guacamole spread no real avacados greasey sandwich. Thumbs down never again and i fly alot
Customer service was ok, but the food was terrible. I work in the airport and that is one of the only options available for lunch. I will be bringing my lunch from now on.
food was ok-ish. Needed a place outside security to spend some time with my wife before I flew out.
Overpriced & food was cold.. BUT, you don’t have to go through TSA to get here & the waitress was nice.. so, there’s that!
