So, the meal was good. To the cooks, great work. The line workers were bland, appropriate. They’re youthful, so you expect vibrancy, smile, cheerful, come on like what you’re doing. It’s okay, I understand everyone doesn’t have a great day all the time, but generally smile with enthusiasm. Overall, thanks for being open and thriving, the community need to have options to have a tasty meal; especially since cracker Barrell fell off in Bessemer. Y’all better keep improving & represent. You never know how far a delicious meal will take you! Prep your team for success! Food Network, Large commercial catering, event catering, it’s unlimited! I just wanted to spread some positivity! I don’t usually give this much into reviews, but it’s visionary- that’s all! Win! Win!
Just left Magic City Grille and ordered for the first time. I am HOOKED! The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. I went at around 11:30 for lunch. I got whiting fish, macaroni and cheese, and green beans. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The staff is so friendly. My special requests were followed perfectly. Good customer service is valued by me! I will definitely be back! UPDATE!!!! If you have not tried the steak bagel here, RUN!!!! Best I EVER had!!! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetable options but I would inquire about the ingredients. Kid-friendliness: My kids love the food, especially the macaroni and cheese and the burgers!
Food was great, very friendly staff! Definitely recommend for good southern food!Food: 5/5
This is my second time ordering from there the breakfast is decent, but I ordered baked Chicken yams, butter, beans, cornbread, stuffing with gravy and macaroni and cheese, and it was horrible! Let me start by saying the chicken was dry like desert dry, I’m mad they use canned yams instead of fresh ones and canned butter beans bake mac & cheese taste like Kraft Deluxe mac & cheese With shredded cheese on top. Stuffing is bland with no meat and the gravy is thick like paste! If this is black Owned y’all need to do better Because you all know Southerners don’t eat canned beans or veggies? just wasted a good $18 on this place!
I DoorDashed it today and it was better than I expected. The yams were sweet, even though I like them sweeter. The meatloaf was firm and seasoned well. Lima beans and cabbage were good too. The banana pudding was good and a huge amount for the price.Food: 5/5
I could tell the food was not fresh reheat type-of-thing including the lettuce in the salad... but it was still decent... I suppose... On the other hand, the cashier's service was amazing!Food: 3/5
Ordered food from here through one of the food apps on 5/30/24….where do I start? I decided to give this restaurant a try given the 4.6 star rating. Well the rating is not well deserved. I ordered the 3 pc chicken wing with cabbage, Mac and cheese, green beans and cornbread. The chicken was fried well and woulda been good but it was a bit salty..Mac and cheese was mediocre…green beans were straight out the can no seasoning whatsoever! The cabbage didn’t have seasoning but it tasted a bit sweet…not at all how cabbage supposed to taste. And the cornbread…what cornbread because it was not in the bag! This was a waste of money and my time ordering…my taste buds are still upset for having this meal…my advice…hire people that can actually cook for large crowds of people
First of all, the Back Porch was closed! Decided to try it.. won't be back: Pork chops tough, macncheese tasted like box and not even the name brand box. Greens from can... no flavor at all! Portion not adequate for the price. Forgot give me cornbread that I paid for.... wasn't worth the money, that's my experience!Food: 1/5
Ordered smothered chicken, rice and boiled okra with extra gravy on the rice it was more gravy than rice!! The okra was salty and the chicken was overly cookedFood: 2/5
