My sister has been in Magnolia Place for two years. I have been very happy with her care. We will call Magnolia her home now. My concern is there has been turnover of employees, some of my favorite people have left but the new people coming in seem confident and have been very sweet to my sister. The consistent staff, who I’ve known for a couple years are wonderful. So loving and caring. Alicia/Ali is a lively energetic force. She always makes sure that people are engaged and having fun. Everyone there has a big heart and they really do seem to care about my sister, Marian
My father moved to Magnolia Place recently from another facility in Roswell. He loves it here. It is nice and clean. The staff is friendly. The care level dramatically better than the other facility, and the cost is quite a bit lower. Shayla at Magnolia has been a great help for my dad and for my family in this move. My dad was very hesitant about moving. Shayla arranged for the facility van to pick up my father and spend the afternoon at the facility, touring and meeting the staff and residents. When my dad returned to his apartment he called and wanted to move right away. Shayla helped us find a senior mover on short notice. She visited my dad in the hospital after he was injured at the other facility. She helped with unpacking. Today I saw a picture of my dad on the Facebook page for Magnolia Place - he was smiling for the first time that I have seen in 2022.
There are a few shining stars at Magnolia Place despite the horrible experience we have had. Alicia, the activities director is amazing. There is something every day and she goes over the top for the residents. She truly cares and it shows. We moved our loved one here after seeing all the positive reviews. Unfortunately for us we got here just in time for a huge turn over in staff. A place is only as good as it’s employees and the new people who now work here are sub par. This facility is understaffed and relies on contracted workers who are here today and gone tomorrow. It is certainly not the place we heard it once was. No one returns phone calls or e-mails from the director all the way up to corporate. Not a place you would want for your loved one. So very discouraging and sad.
We recently had to make the decision to place my mother in an assisted living facility. We are so lucky to have found magnolia place of Roswell. Everyone has been so kind and helpful and made us all feel right at home. My mother's days are filled with fun activities. This transition could not have gone any better! Thank you to everyone that works there! Update: I just wanted to add that Ali, the activities director is the best. From the day we moved my mother in, she had gone above and beyond to make her feel welcome and comfortable. She has so many fun activities for the residents, my mother is so busy and loving all the new games, exercise, music and other activities. I can't say enough about Ali and the other staff I have had contact with, they have been helpful and caring. Thank you!!
Great overall experience. I had the task of relocating my mother from home to assistive living and I was in over my head before I knew it...Visited Magnolia Place and had Shayla as my guide....She was very thorough and answered all my questions.. I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders and Shayla's experience with senior living had her one step ahead of my needs throughout the entire process......Thanks to Shayla, Sharise & the Magnolia staff for the ease of this transition. I highly recommend Magnolia Place for your loved ones
Moving our mother here was one of the worst decisions I have ever made. This place is terrible and the non-responsive management is even worse. We have tried repeatedly to point out their failure to deliver the services and care that they promised.would be delivered during their sales.pitch. To no availl. We can't even get the "Executive Director" to respond to our numerous emails. Do your parents or parents a favor and look elsewhere. There are much better assisted.living places close by.
I have been working with the Activities Director all year - and I am beyond impressed at her dedication to her residents. Ali doesn't just plan an activity - she goes beyond so that it will make a lasting impression. A couple of months ago she prepared a 100th birthday party for a client of my company. The resident was a veteran. She had a group of vets come to pay tribute to him. She had an old car drive-by as well. To say this man had a huge smile, would be an understatement.
Mom moved in in June. Her favorite thing is all the activities. Alicia is awesome, she always makes sure to let my mom know whats going on and even gets her to activites she wouldn't try on her own. She really enjoys the exercise classes, Trivia and Bingo. Happy my sister & brother-in-law found Magnolia Place. And thank goodness for Ali.
Our parents moved into Magnolia Place in late 2018 and are thrilled with their new home. They frequently thank us for finding this place for them; they love their apartment, the staff, the food, and the activities. The Magnolia Place driver will take them to appointments, grocery shopping, or Walmart. They have musical entertainment quite often, pet therapy, painting or exercise classes, and games just for fun. It gives my sister and me peace of mind knowing the staff are attentive to their needs and the requests from the families they also serve. They are always patient, friendly, cheerful and eager to help with any request.
If they got rid of that nurse Nancy and get some structure it wouldn’t be so bad.Was ask for an exit interview and never got the call shows how much they really care.overnight shift don’t do nothing but sleep.
