I reside proximal to Farmers market so normally every Thursday I go for either Shrimp with garlic butter sauce, or mixed Barbecue kalbi & chicken, Portuguese bean soup and Strawberry/Banana smoothie. That smoothie kiosk, was telling them any Hyatt Hotels here or other islands specialize in chocolate Banana smoothie with or without alcohol, he told me they would try it. There's also vegetables, fruits, sushi, Thai & other tasty looking edibles, so if you're in the area stop by everyone is welcome Aloha
I was quite disappointed. There were only three vegetable vendors and even though it was only half an hour in to the market time frame, delicate items such as cilantro were already wilty. Everything else was in Dole boxes and from vegetable wholesale. I doubt there was a single farmer or secondary out of the three. I know where costco is, so I didn't buy a thing. There were many other tables offering plate lunch type of fare and some fair type of food, but that's the antithesis of why I came, but it did look yummy. It seemed to be mostly what people were buying, so I guess that is how to vote with your wallet supply and demand. Bummer! I think that if there were actual fresh local produce, it would probably sell well, but I could be wrong as it is adjacent to the college. I know that's not what I sought out when I was that age. Too much trouble to prepare. pizza time! :.
Still a very good place to shopp and Tate a little
Cool community feel. Only 5 or 6 vendors but a good enough selection.
Delicious Thai food
