Makiki Nails

I go to makiki nails every two weeks for my gel manicure and Melina always does a wonderful job. She is kind and takes great care of me. It’s a great price compared to other salons and I always receive good service from the nail techs.

Eyebrows broke out very bad directly after getting a wax here.Basically my entire forehead. I get my eyebrows waxed all the time at nail salons and my skin type isn’t sensitive. Waxing isn’t sanitary here. They’re double dipping wax sticks with every persons bacteria into the wax and not changing the wax. Very disappointed

I don't normally get my nails done so I trusted the nail tech knew what she was doing. Wasn't till I got home and my husband asked "why I paid for those. They look goofy". After inspecting closer, the nails were uneven, acrylic was above the cuticle, didn't look natural at all. I will NEVER return to this place again nor recommend it.Service: Acrylic nails

I had an awesome experience with Anne who did my nails! she was very nice and professional at her job, and thural in removing my 4 week old cal gel I had on my nails, she did an awesome job removing my gel by soaking my nails for a bit and using a drill bit with out hurting my natural nail, and for all the people who do gels and acrylic it can be painful but she was exceptional . She cleaned up my nails so well I never had a service like that in years. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU SEEING ANNE AT MAKIKI NAILS I will DEFINITELY BE GOING BACK JUST TO SEE HER by the way this my very first review, I don't normally do these kind of things, but I was so blown away, and 100%SATISFIED I HAD TO WRITE ONE! The lady who was doing my nails, kept asking me if I wanted gel. Whenever I try out a new place for the first time, I don't get gel because I want to see the work first. I felt like she got mad that I didn't want gel, she rushed it. On top of that, she had no care in the world that she was filing my nails careless. It was just bad. Not going here ever again. Yes the price is great, but the service? No thanks.

I hate to give anyone such a bad review but unfortunately it was a really bad experience... I called to make an appointment for new gel nails. I tried to explain this on the phone but when I showed up she had booked me for mani and pedi. To remove the previous gel, she had me soak my fingers in a bowl of acetone for a few minutes, and then proceeded to rip it off, completely destroying my real nails. The tools were stored in a drawer in the desk with no form of sterilization. When she filed my nails she moved the file back and forth very roughly, and the result was uneven and further damaged. She only spoke to me to try to pressure me into paying for additional services, and the rest of the time she was yelling to her coworkers in Vietnamese. I feel terrible giving this review because she was very nice and friendly. Sadly, my nails look lumpy and uneven, and are probably completely destroyed under the gel. Sterilization techniques need a lot of improvement. To end on a good note, I have to say that the prices are very fair, but I will not be recommending Makiki nails to anybody.

Best Service for nails and feet. Friendly place knowledgeable staff reasonable prices for men and women!!! I wouldn't go anywhere else!

A very nice mani-pedi for an excellent price. Friendly staff once they get to know you, but do not speak much English. Very nice massage chairs!
