Upon my first visit to the library I asked the staff for an introduction and tour. Stacey was extremely helpful and considerate to tell me about the various programs available. They have a "Malden Reads" book club with events throughout the year, which has been an enlightening experience so far. ADA accessible with doors and ramps. Movie nights have closed captioning. Fairly decent Large Print section as well!
Nice place for reading. Staff there are very nice as well. I ask the lady at information desk whether they have some old magazines that they plan to recycle or throw away, so I can use them to make some art crafts. She said yes and asked me whether I have some preference. I told her I prefer to have some magazines that have pictures. She actually found some for me. Great experience there!
We LOVE our Malden Public Library!! Stopped there today for "Jane Eyre" and "Wuthering Heights" that I've forever been meaning to read, and they had both books, in two different places General Fiction and Young Adult Fiction. And the persons who work there are always so helpful, friendly and nice. Thank you, Malden Library!
The staff always have a smile on their face. It’s easy to reserve books and check your holds on their website. Sometimes parking is tough but every library deserves 5 stars!
Great community events at this library. Library of things, 2 quiet rooms, some free movie nights and yoga at times! Just not a wide choice on site, but can be ordered in through boston public library network or online digital checkouts.
This owner told me to go somewhere else and when I was will my friend, she always have a problem with me either because how I look like or my race. I am assuming that she is racist and don’t like me because I’m Asian. It ended up terrible so I left. Never ever come here!
Well organized library. Stuff are Nice and always willing to help. Went there recently to get books for my kids, for their school research. Anyone I came across with was energetic and happy. They always show positivity which encourages you to visit often.
The actual library available to the public is less than half of the building. The cover photo is part of the building which is not available most of the time. When asked, I was told there wasn't enough staff to keep the whole building open. Malden is a large city with many people that deserves a better place to study than this. A place that values learning and exploration of the world rather than a massive cordoned off historical area where the mayor can talk once every few weeks or special guests can visit. People sitting on the floor due to lack of space. Facilities probably have not been updated in over 40 years. Collection is limited and aged. No off street parking.
it's ridiculous that there is no where to park anywhere near the library and why is a library closed on Sunday, is there no reading allowed on Sundays
I visited children area. all toys are dirty. I guess toys are never cleaned. please clean toys!!!
