Latest owner has found the sweet spot. By paring down the menu to include only the most popular specialties, Malic's has, in my mind, regained its reputation for excellence. Edit: At the time I wrote this review, I was a customer without affiliation with the establishment. For the past couple of months, I have become involved with the creation of their website and should no longer be considered an arms-length party. However, what I said back then about the food and establishment still stands.

Great and friendly service. Food is very tasty and they have real poutine! Combine that with some smoked meat and your golden!

Reuben and Montreal smoked meat just melt in your mouth. Try it again. New owners got it right!

A local gem! One of the best corned beef/Montreal smoked meat places I've ever been too. Try the Reuben with thousand island and coleslaw! Last meal worthy!
