Tasty homemade Korean food but the process was a little hectic and confusing during peak dinner time. You order from an overhead menu, choose three sides cafeteria style which they scoop right away and then stack until the kitchen makes your main. I went in for two dinner plates fish jun and bulgogi and decided to add soup and squid. Everything comes with sides so I ended up with enough food for 5-6 people! The bulgogi and seaweed soup were really good as were most of the sides. It’s standing room only inside so if you can, I would suggest ordering ahead. There were a couple of people waiting when I arrived but the phone kept ringing off the hook as they took our orders. Pandemonium! but more so for us watching I think. Somehow they keep track of all the orders by writing on the boxes. They had a little slip up with my order and apologized profusely for the wait. It didn’t take that long but there were people waiting outside when I left.
Visited Hawaii recently and took a Chance and stopped by the google highly rated mama woos ! DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Highly recommend the mama’s special - you will not regret it. That’s the first pic , second is the chicken plate . Very plentiful! Comes with four sides each for the sides we loved the potatoes which were super tasty , the cabbage with red sauce, as well as the fried egg plant YUM . Service is also amazing! She was so nice and patient . We asked many questions. It is carry out only but we didn’t mind, we ate in the car . We appreciate the small businesses , especially ones like these that serve your plates so generously! Keep it up Mama Woos! Texans love you! Next time we’re in town, we’re going back.
There are few places that come to hit the spot like Mama Woo’s. The plates are amazing but the sides are heavenly. $20 at Mama Woo’s will probably the best $20 you will spend when wanting Korean take out. Mama Woo is also super nice. I recommend calling in before then you have the food ready and pick the sides when you come in.
Got the combo plate of fish-Jun and the Kalbi ribs. I was definitely surprised at how good the ribs were, as well as how many side dishes I got to choose as part of the plate lunch you can choose up to 4. The plate is definitely a full Korean meal in an accessible, Hawaiian style : Good amount of food and happy with the quality.
Super friendly staff, great barbecue flavor and good value. I'd never tried this place though I'd passed it many times. I saw the positive reviews and menu shots on Maps and decided to check it out. It does not disappoint. One thing if you want to tip, which is likely: bring cash. They run cards but can't add tips to the sale.
Standard Korean fare with just awesome flavor and a large variety of delicious sides to choose from. Not a dine in place but it accommodate 2 customers if you choose to stay. No public restrooms handicap accessible and a few building parking but a lot street side an you'll always greeted with a welcoming smile
Super great local plate lunch shop. Their Kim Chi pancakes are super good. They're also one of the best catering shops for your office party, holiday event or family gathering.Food: 5/5
It is ok. We order mixed plate, Kalbi and Chicken. It is good but does not blow us away. We had the mixed plate a few times in the past year, 2022.
Excellent Korean BBQ If you need a good lunch plate or need dinner for the family, this is one of the best BBQ joints on this side of the island. I had the Beef plate which came with four homemade sides; I got kimchi, Mac and potatoe salad and the best cucumbers I've ever had. It is cash only unfortunately but it's well worth it. I'm glad I stopped in, and I will be back soon.
Well I pulled up here on Monday at 7:26 Google says it closes at 830 pm I drove here from across town reviews looked great but they need to update hours so this doesn't happen... back to searching for food
