Deli with bagels and sandwiches and bagel sandwiches. I’ve heard great things about the lox sandwich, but I got the egg and cheese. Service was super nice, 10% tip is automatically added. The sandwich was very average but in a good way. It’s a solid meal with nothing over-the-top. You know what you’re gonna get if you go here, and you’re not gonna be charged a ridiculous price for it. Edit: Updating my review to 5 stars after going back and trying the bagel. Delicious cream cheese, you must try a bagel if you go.
I always love eating at Mamaleh’s! Do yourself a favor and get the Pastrami Egg and Cheese sandwich because it is incredible. I recently tried their Latkes for the first time and that was also tasty, especially with the apple sauce and sour cream side. Overall it is a treat to come here and I would recommend a visit if you’re in the area!
Always delicious, prices are cheap, food is amazing. It’s a close walk for me in Cambridge, and one of my go to places to eat or get takeaway. The bagels are fresh, have the perfect crunch on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside. I would also recommend the Latkes with applesauce as they are crispy, warm and delicious. You can’t go wrong with anything from this restaurant! Props to the owners!!
Today was my second time here. I had a delicious Rachel sandwich, $15 last time I had the Reuben, and a black and white milkshake, $11. I have been thinking about that sandwich for the rest of the evening afterwards, that's how good it was. The milkshake was delightful and they were kind enough to give us the extra that didn't fit in the glass possibly because it was our second shake. They automatically build in a 10% and give you the option to add more, which I appreciate. I also like that if you go back and add something they can usually adjust the charge on your card, which is convenient. I definitely tend to keep going back to the counter to get something else. Great ambiance, friendly staff. Can't wait to go back.
If you like a normal to decent amount of meat on our sandwiches, do not go here! I’ve had 4 sandwiches from here so far and EVERY single one of them had sparse meat. The first one was a reuben which was mostly sauerkraut with one or two slices of corned beef. I figured it was just the person who put it together just didn’t use a lot of meat that time so I decided to try it again. Same exact thing, just two small slices of corned beef, I was amazed and disappointed! Then, I got a few cold turkey sandwiches from them and SAME THING, very small amount of meat! I wish I had picture of the reuben but I finally took pictures of the cold “turkey” sandwich which was mostly coleslaw. The taste is good, but for some reason they use less meat now. I looked at other reviewers’ pictures from over a year ago and the amount of meat looks normal. Very disappointing when businesses like this decide to cheapen up their products to make more profit… not sure what other possible reason there is.
Came to Mamaleh's to celebrate a colleague who is moving on to an amazing new opportunity! I was excited that they had so many vegetarian options! I got the vegetarian Rachel with Mrs. Goldfard's unreal corn'd beef. It was absolutely delicious! The service was excellent as well, and the restaurant was tidy and welcoming! Will absolutely come back!
Delicious...fast...latkas were amazing, matzo ball soup was awesome and the Rachel/Reubens were perfect. It's a bit on the self service side when it comes to dealing with dishes but it was 100% worth it. I'll definitely be going back.
I tried the lox bagel. It was alright. Chill vibe, small place and self serve water / napkins. I'd want to try other things on the menu.Recommended dishesLox and Bagel Plate, Lox Sandwich with House Cured Lox
These folks are awesome and their food is too. The word of the year is BALANCE. Every dish and drink I've tried from here is so masterfully balanced that even a dish or drink that just isn't for me has me like, "Ok, I don't think that flavor is for me, personally, but it's SO well balanced that I could still eat & appreciate it." They really know their craft here, and they're outstanding humans to boot. What's not to love? Vegetarian options: They're purposeful about including vegetarian options. <3
The food is really really good. I also tried the chocolate layer cake and it is so good! I would have given them 5 stars but I noticed they applied a kitchen wage surcharge or something like that? Please pay your employees fairly instead of taking from my salary to pay them.
