Dorchester Towers has been a great residence! The concierge is friendly and the management office staff, Olivia, is so responsive and professional. The move in process was smooth thanks to all of them! Maintenance requests are taken care of ASAP. Amenities are great and clean including the gym. It has overall been a nice and quiet place to live. Location in upper west side is super convenient next to the subway. Very happy and highly recommend!
Well-maintained building with spacious apartments, garage and lobby. Very friendly staff. Eight elevators total four in each wing’s bank which always operate quickly.
Make sure to look up real reviews of this building under The Dorchester NYC on google, including this one: Basically a roach hotel. In the past month they've taken apart my floors because my A/C randomly broke, they've taken apart my ceiling because the A/C above me broke, management has ignored my emails, and now I'm getting roaches. The water is constantly being turned off for "maintenance". What else could go wrong? I should have known, the first week I moved in someone else said she was so excited to move because there were always problems. Looks beautiful, but rotting from the inside out. I've never written a bad review about anything before, but I'm desperate to move. **Update** - As for what else could go wrong...my entire apartment was destroyed in a flood because of poorly maintained pipes. The water from the flood didn't get shut off for almost an HOUR and all of my work equipment was destroyed. Worst of all, management didn't even ask if I had a place to stay although my apartment was completely uninhabitable for an entire month. And they haven't paid for any damages since!! BEWARE!! Pics are of the DIRTY flood water removed...over 6 drums and the entire apartment was still flooded inches high
We had a very good experience in this building. We rented from the management company, on a high floor, and felt they were always courteous and kind, and the staff was always as well. The building itself can be a bit noisy due to its location, but that’s nyc. We’ve moved away, but if we moved back, I’d definitely consider the Dorchester again. Adding this because I know I always find these kinds of reviews helpful. And after living for 20+ years in the city, I’ve seen plenty of bad management companies/ buildings. This is definitely one of the good ones, as far as my experience went!
This place has horrible staff, horrible management, roach infested, broken air conditioners, overpriced and overrated. I wouldn't suggest even stepping into the lobby. Wayyyy nicer places literally across the street.
