I had the buttered chicken and the garlic naan. It was marvelous. The texture of the buttered chicken as I ate was impeccable. the garlic naan but it exceeded my expectations. I had enough to eat and take home. I highly recommend this. My meal only took like 20mins tops. Will return to try something new.
I ordered butter chicken and cheese naan, food was ready promptly after I placed the order on the phone. The food tastes amazing, I asked for medium spice which probably would be the best choice if you don’t have high tolerance but still want a little heat, it also comes with a small box of white rice. Portion seems a bit small for a total of $17, but you can probably split it in two meals if you eat alone, or share it with someone. Service was decent, the lady at the front desk was friendly and even called to let me know my order was ready for pickup. Overall pretty satisfied with the experience.
We live in Amarillo and were here visiting and had a favorite Indian restaurant that had unfortunately closed since we lived here. I started looking on Google and found this place. When my husband and I walked in we were immediately skeptical as there was no other patrons in the place other than one person waiting on takeout. We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful this place turned out to be. It’s definitely a gem and we will continue to come back when we are in town. Definitely a must visit!!!
I would highly recommend placing your order in the restaurant to go and then running some errands or bringing something to do with you to pass the time if you plan on dining in. The food here is absolutely excellent, but we spent over two hours here between waiting for a menu and actually getting our food. When we went, the only person there was the older woman cooking all the food. She was very sweet but having to do everything herself wasn’t attentive. She’s super sweet but you can’t do everything yourself I haven’t met the older man other reviewers have mentioned. I definitely would come back for the food, but not for the service or anything else. We got the naan made from scratch - so good, butter chicken curry, and chicken biryani. Also, fair warning, the spice level is HIGH. If you think you can handle heat, I would go with medium at the highest. Both my fiancé and I enjoy spicy food but I heard they were heavy on the spice level so I went with mild and he medium. It was almost too much to enjoy for him because the heat was so overpowering.
This place is great! Vegan-friendly. They said all the "Vegetarian" dishes that do not specify "cream" or other dairy products are vegan. The guy that took my order sounded very sad. Then when I picked up my order, he looked just as sad... If you are reading this man that took my order please know your food is fantastic! Be proud or at least less noticeably sad. It was kind of uncomfortable. The food is worth it. It's an authentic spicy. Vegetarian options: Anything on the "Vegetarian" section that did not specify a dairy product like "cream" was a vegan option. Great options!
The butter chicken is phenomenal. I truly believe it's the best in US. That and naan are always part of any order I make. I've had their biriyani and daal, and they're tasty, but there's just something about that butter chicken. Generally don't eat at the restaurant because the wait time can be quite long, however, I've only had to wait once after calling in a pickup order and it was maybe ten minutes. Inconvenient, but no big deal. And the food is always consistent in taste and texture. Sure the service could be faster, but they've always been kind to me. I'll be ordering there for years to come.
Very flavorful. We enjoyed the chicken vindaloo and bhindi masala. “Medium spicy” on the chicken vindaloo lit us up, which is what we wanted... haha. The garlic naan and the tandoori roti were also excellent. Good portions— 2 main dishes were enough to fill us up for supper. The 5-star rating is for the dishes alone. We didn’t care too much about the atmosphere or the customer service. You ring the bell on the counter to get someone to come from the back to take your order or pay. Otherwise, there’s a guy sitting at the counter that basically just sleeps in the chair. We weren’t too bothered by this, especially since we’d read reviews warning us about the customer service. We were just happy to eat delicious Indian food.
Takes a while to prep the food and the decor of the place is nothing to write home about but the food itself is absolutely amazing! I ordered the chicken vindaloo and I specified that I wanted my food to be spicy and they did not disappoint. The chicken was very tender and the aromatics compliment the meal nicely. The food was spicy enough to have my nose running and forehead dripping sweat. I will definitely come back. One tip I will give is to order your food to go or you will be waiting for a while.
Regardless of many other ppl complaining! The food is awesome! Prepare to wait for at least 1.5 hours. If not...this is not the place for you.Food: 5/5
Long wait. Ordered ahead and arrived at the pick up time I was told. Had to wait another 45 minutes like they didn't even start on our order. The guy there was a bit scattered. Not a friendly voice on the phone. Nevertheless, good food! Very spicy though. Ordered mild spice and it was still super spicy. Maybe they don't actually care what you picked they just cook it how they want. Good food if you can bare through the unprofessionalism.
