John was very insightful in helping me decide on a pair of running shoes. He was patient and analyzed my feet before suggesting shoes. I like how I wasn’t pressured into making a decision and was able to go for a quick jog to test several pairs of shoes.
I would like to start off by saying the customer service here was beyond amazing. We spoke with two woman both had positive lovely attitudes. The woman who sold us the shoes was very knowledgeable and super helpful. For sure a satisfied customer and I will return.
Great experience. The sales associates, John and Sam, knew each and every shoe and patiently helped me find one that worked perfectly for me. I really appreciate that they give you a chance to run around outside with the shoes on for a bit before you purchase. In addition, the shoes tend to be fairly priced.
Great store to get running shoes. They are extremely helpful with finding a pair of shoes that will be comfortable and provide appropriate support while running. I'll definitely be back when I need another pair.

I had a great experience shopping at the Marathon Sports on Beacon. The staff were extremely attentive and knowledgeable; they seemed to know everything there was to know about the brands they sold, and their recommendations were comfy. They had plenty of fancy equipment to measure my feet, but ultimately encouraged me to follow my own instincts, which I think is great for a running store. The shop is small, but had a good selection of shoes and running accessories.
I bought a pair of running shoes from here today. Great shop. They were busy, but they had enough sales people not like, one person trying to handle it all so I felt like I got a lot of very focused attention without too much wait. I was looking for a totally different shoe to address my new pandemic foot problems and the salesperson gave my five or six good suggestions. I also appreciate that they allow exchanges or store credit within 30 days if the fit doesn’t work out. I’ve bought shoes that felt great in the store but ended up being a bad fit for workouts, and have been out of luck. I’ll definitely make this my running store here in Boston.
I am completely thrilled with my experience at Marathon Sports! I got fitted for a pair of running shoes about a month ago after putting off the shoe search for quite some time. Shopping for athletic shoes simply put, intimidates me, but Anna made my experience fantastic. She went through a few tests prior to bringing over multiple pairs of shoes for me to try on. She was patient and thorough, yet efficient at the same time. I've honestly been much more active due to being properly fitted, and I'm much happier as a result!
I can't say enough about my amazing visit here. I was referred by my physical therapist, and walked in knowing nothing about shoes. The staff immediately brought me many options and encouraged me to run around as much as I liked to try to see what I like. They didn't want me to "settle" and when I didn't 100% love the shoes, they brought even more out. They were so patient and kind. I felt that I still had more arch issues, and they easily could have sold me orthotics and made me pay an extra $40-$60, but they worked hard to alleviate the problem. The shoes were a great deal and even got some socks on sale. I recommend this place and the wonderful staff to everyone!
