Marc J. Gian

I’ve been going to Marc now for the past two months, he has completely helped the pain in my right shoulder due to overuse from the computer. Most recently he has done Acupuncture for my IBS. I had a flare up this past week and was extremely bloated and uncomfortable when I saw him, the next day I was able to go to the bathroom and the bloating was completely gone and that uncomfortable feeling. I’ve been struggling with IBS for about 12 years now and flare ups usually take time to go away, and this happened so quickly. He is truly a miracle worker. I also want to add I suffer from really bad neck pain, since this is where I put all my tension. I wasn't able to see Marc for 2 weeks because of work, and I definitely was feeling the pain and got a massage that didn't even help until I saw him this week. It was night and day after my session, the pain completely went away with acupuncture and a massage from him. He really knows what he is doing, once again a true miracle worker.

I came to Marc with chronic and debilitating back pain, after seeing doctors, specialists and physical therapists with zero success. After only a few months of regular sessions with Marc, my back pain was completely gone. Over a year later, I am still going for weekly sessions. In a time when we put a premium on self-care, there is no greater investment. He is worth the price!!! Beyond curing my pain, I can clearly see the benefits in all aspects of my life, including more energy and patience. Marc has a true gift and natural ability to identify and treat both the body and mind. He is easy to talk to and extremely effective. I have referred multiple friends, all of whom now call themselves regulars. I can only describe his gift as something everyone should be lucky enough to experience for themselves!

I recommend Marc to anyone without reservation. I've seen a number of physical therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists and the like over the past twenty years, and Marc compares favorably to all of them; he is knowledgeable, his treatments are effective, and he's easy to work with as he's also a good communicator on top of all that. If you're thinking about seeing him - do it!

I feel extremely fortunate to have found Marc as it came during a time of personal conflict and extreme anxiety. A friend had recommended I try acupuncture to help with my stress, but little did I know how special Marc was as both a practitioner and as an advocate of mindfulness. Before EVERY session, Marc recaps my week and dives into my emotional state as far deep as one is willing to delve. He then uses that information to target the exact points in my body that are essentially crying for help. By the time I leave, I genuinely feel like a new person. Marc is selfless, always available to chat, and has an overwhelmingly positive energy unlike anything I have ever encountered. He is the real deal. I've been treated by Marc Gian more than a dozen times and I recommend his treatments to all. I have a severe form of a rare type of spinal arthritis that also affects other joints. After each treatment with Marc, my pain levels are lower, my freedom of movement is greater and over the course of several visits, my condition improved. Marc's acupuncture needling is rarely painful. His use of massage therapy and essential oils -- including oils from Chinese medicine -- enhance the effectiveness of Marc's treatments and add a soothing calm to his treatment experience. I have been treated by many acupuncturists over the last seven years, from interns at an acupuncture school to other acupuncturists with years of experience. In my opinion, Marc Gian is among the best of the best acupuncturists in New York City!

I don't know where I'd be today without all of Marc's help. I've been a patient of his for about 7 years now and am so grateful for having met him. No matter what problems I've had over the years, I have always left his office feeling better. There has even been several instances when western doctors haven't been able to offer me any help, but Marc always has an answer. His truly holistic approach treats problems on a physically and emotionally level. I have been to other acupuncturists before, but none with Marc's experience and compassion.

My husband began seeing Marc a few months back for relief with his vertigo symptoms. He's been on and off prescription medication which inevitably led to more pain and no long term relief. We're generally skeptical of Eastern medicine but we were ready to try anything. After his first session with Marc, he already felt relief from the intense amount of dizziness and imbalance. When he went to his first appointment he couldn't even walk there - he walked out a new person! He is now a regular and cannot be more happy. Marc is well informed and works so well with his clients. He is attentive and patient. I 100% recommend him to everyone! Even if you're not experiencing any "major" symptoms he is going to change your life!

I have found in Marc a level of care and integration with his patients that is rarely found in health care practitioners of any medical or holistic background. His empathy not only allows him to connect to his patients, but also guides him in understanding the matter at hand, and how to approach it. His level of ethics and integrity strongly reflects in the results of his work, both as a practitioner and as a teacher. Not only he treats you effectively, but also guides you in continuing taking care of yourself. As a healer myself, I find Marc's integration of modalities supported by his ethics, integrity and intuition truly inspirational.

Marc is the best acupuncturist I’ve ever worked with. He takes a holistic approach toward healing your body, mind, and soul. I feel so refreshed and healed after each session. My body completely relaxes to the point in which I sleep like a baby the night of a treatment, tremendously helping the healing of my injury post-surgery. I highly recommend Marc!!

I thought acupuncture was a joke...a way for people to make money...until I gave it a shot. That was until my appointment with Marc. For years, I’ve had back pain due to not stretching properly and weight fluctuations. My appointment was phenomenal. About 8 tiny needles were placed in different locations on my back. This appointment was 2 weeks ago. The back pain has vanished. It’s strange, but in a great way. Clearly, Marc knows what he is doing. I’ll be going back again. Simply an amazing experience.
