Mardi Gras Casino & Resort

My husband and I are professional driver's so we enjoy getting off the truck for a real date night every once in a while. We were pleasantly surprised that the casino had truck parking (some dirty truck drivers have ruined things in the past at places that no longer allow semi parking). We came on a Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed the Seafood Buffet. We also loved the dog races and are learning how to bet for our next time through. We danced and sang to the entertainment band Esquires who are so talented and fun! What a night and wonderful smoke free casino with great staff!! We'll be back many times for sure!

Very nice Casino. I've been donating to this Casino ever since I've been in West Virginia for work. The atmosphere is very welcoming and I feel like I'm going to win big, every time I go! :) One of the best things there is their Huge Swiss Burger from the Cafe', its so good! Highly recommend Mardi Gras Casino to anyone that enjoys a good time, alone or with friends!

The Buffet, "Seafood Extravaganza"NOT So Good..We're from south Louisiana, about an hour an half from New Orleans. This place needs to take some lessons from the Wheeling Casino. Our waiter, Will, did his best to make our experience a good one, he was working his tail off, but most of the staff behind the buffet was to busy chit chatting with each other, are on their phone to help you. Hint... DON'T ask them to make you a "Creme Brulet" , which Will offered for dessert, BUT They're just to busy behind the food line! remember what I said they were doing. The cook needs a few more lessons also. Jambalaya is not a soup.... We made the best of it we could, but the buffet will not be on our return list, maybe give one of the little cafe's in the gaming room a try, but 25 bucks for the buffet, NOT going to happen again.

We stay here every chance we get. The rooms are very nice the only complaint is they only have a mini bar in the room and no fridge where you can bring your own drinks and keep them cold. Watching the dogs race is fun. There is a great place where you can eat and watch the dogs. There are plenty of gambling choices in the casino and no shortage of slot machines. I have never been there when there was a dealer at all of the card tables and the ones that are open are always full and there is usually only one or two tables with a low minimum. The French Quarter Restaurant is a must on Thursday night when they have their steak special.

Our visit was fun! The prime rib was imcredible!! Came in hungry, finished miserably full!! It was a clean place, good atmosphere... We watched a few of the greyhound races, and got to see them interact with each other after the race, they seem to have fun, even though they never actually get to "catch" the rabbit!! Navigating through the building is a it confusing, more signs and direction, and also location signs more visible would be awesome!! Overall, great place! Hopefully we can stay in the hotel soon!!
