After travelling from California we came here on road trip. Amazing service after long time. Gorgeous delicious food and terrific drinks. I would recommend it 100% if you want to enjoy and have beautiful time. They customized the vegetarian options for us. Vegetarian options: Veg food available on request
My husband and I stopped in Albuquerque on our way back to MN. Our hotel referred us to Mariscos Altamar for dinner, and we had such a great experience. Not knowing what to order, we asked our server Emily for advice. Her suggestions were perfect. The food was tasty, made from scratch, and the portions were extremely generous. We also met the owner: Mr. Hernandez: a hard working, gentle soul who couldn't have been friendlier. Well done Hernandez family.
Excellent experience and strongly recommend. Plenty of seafood options and a few others drink were wonderful. Started with a basic margarita. My wife had the Lava Colada. Very yummy. I had the Shrimp and crab mixed Enchiladas with red and green sauce. Pretty good! My wife had shrimp with flour tortillas. Both had sides of rice and refried beans. Chips and Salsa were good, but spicy. Note: you do pay extra for them! Axel was our server on this day. He did an excellent job and when he found out that we were staying at a nearby hotel. Offer another margarita at no cost!
We had the best server, very attentive & always checked if we needed anything else. The service was excellent! Food was delicious like always! They even sang to my daughter in law Happy Birthday! Thank you!Dine in: YesTakeout: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram at SNDTRAVELS and Eat Well Travel Often. Looking for a new restaurant this weekend in Albuquerque, we came across a place close to our hotel that is touted as one of the best in town, so we were excited. The server was nice, friendly and helpful with the menu. She asked if we wanted chips and salsa and we said sure. The chips were thick and tasteless and the salsa was thin and just hot, no taste. Not a good start. Diane got the appetizer combo of nachos, flautas, chimichanga, cheese quesadillas and fried shrimp. You can see that the nacho chips were burnt. The flauta was crispy and stuffed with dry shredded chicken, the chimichanga was not fully cooked and stuffed with a couple of bites of beef and then the same shredded chicken. The shrimp were the black items on top check the pic. The shrimp was tender but the texture seemed as if it was run through a tenderizer. Once again, lacking a real taste. The cheese quesadillas were very good. Now for my plate. A pick three of which I chose a cheese enchilada, beef taco and fish soft taco. The beef taco was loaded with shredded beef they don't have ground beef so full there was no room for the lettuce, cheese and tomato. The shredded beef was neither tender nor tough. The cheese enchilada was almost completely absent of flavor. The fish taco was loaded with fish that tasted like it was cooked in ocean water it was so fishy. Overall, they were very liberal with the portions but way overpriced even if it had been good. The bottom line was it was so bad we just stopped eating. We told the server about some of the issues and she said she was sorry and handed me the bill. The last bad news was that we were charged $2 for the chips and salsa. We almost never do bad reviews because we check out our restaurants by using reviews and don't have too many bad experiences. This one we just couldn't understand. No way we could recommend this place. We found no saving graces. Two thumbs down .
This place is awesome! Fantastic food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. We had the steak fajitas and chicken enchiladas! Some of the best Mexican food we have had. The Ocean Water fishbowl drink is huge and very tasty! Our server Cassandra was very friendly and helpful. This is a must stop if in Albuquerque! We actually went back for dinner again two days later, and it was just as amazing.
Stopped by New Mexico for some authentic Mexican cuisine!! For my drinks I had the Razi Kazi shot and a cucumber Fishbowl. Both were potent and delicioso. For dinner I had shrimp, octopus with green and red peppers served with a side of rice and tortilla shells.. First time at a Mexican cuisine. The entire experience was delightful. Karina was my waiter, she was so sweet!
Danielle was my server. Excellent. She is attentive and personal. Drink was strawberry lemonade fishbowl...delicious!! Dinner was beef enchilada and beef tostada. Amazing. Totally recommend
The bartender was nice & personable. I really wanted to love this place but being from Arizona, we had high expectations & the food didn't deliver. Portions were small, especially for the price. The beans & rice were very bland. I ordered the beef chimichanga which wasn't even browned & beef was red inside. However, my husband's steak Ranchero was tasty & the salsa Verde was delicious as well! We got there at 3:45, during happy hour. Ordered all drinks before 5:00 pm, end of happy hour but all our drinks were full price. Also, any time of the day it's a 3 drink max. We had 3 drinks each & 2 entrees & it was check was $71. Unfortunately, we won't be visiting again.
The food was great, the ambiance & atmosphere were amazing. We were definitely satisfied at this establishment.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
