It's an older building, but it's the best deal you can find if you want a highrise with a strip view. Mayra and Amelia in the office are sweet and helpful. Maintenance always responds quickly and does good work. No complaints.
Look elsewhere they will take money!! After a couple weeks of working with Amanda everything finally was working and she asked me to have a co-signer and to pay the app fee again. Her helping me so much I even brought in some cookies to say thank you. So I did that and the day I got told my app was accepted she gave away the last unit specifically the one she knew I have been working towards getting. She knew I had a deadline for a new job I’m from out of state and had to cancel the job offer because of her and still decided to do what she did. Look elsewhere because this place just wants your app fee and will waste your time.
I’ve sent a package at this place to a friend, they promised they would forward it to their new place but they didn’t, they said they never got anything even though it said it got delivered. Do not trust this place with your packages or mail, someone can take it easily and they will not do anything about it.
Just finished a 6 month lease. The building is constantly being upgraded so each month the experience just got better and better and Amanda elevated the experience further as she handled every single issue that arose and was extremely helpful and caring. I do recommend Mark 1 and suggest you tour with Amanda.
Nice clean building. Hallways are super hot though. It seems they don't have A/C outside apartments or maybe weren't working when was there. Nice place to live though...
I was going to rent here, gave a 300.00 dollar deposit, was never told ahead of the lease there was no smoking in the apartments, so when it came time to sign the lease, I saw the no smoking clause, I didn't sign the lease, there was no meeting of minds, so I should get my deposit back, but have not heard from these people about my deposit. Also they wanted a 6 month lease something else I would not have wanted because we know after the 6 months they are going to go up on the rent. They should make sure they tell perspective tenants there is no smoking and the windows don't open.
I've been living here going on almost 2 years and the staff has been great. Both maintenance staff, and also to Andrew, who's been nothing but professional and courteous since the first day of my move in. The building is older, but is well maintained. It's centrally located for easy access anywhere in the city, and the views and the wide windows are a plus!! I am most honored to be a resident here.
Living in the Mark 1 has been amazing! I recently moved here and absolutely no complaints. The staff always makes sure you are comfortable and Andrew has been great! I have felt comfortable here since day one and every person I have met in the building has been nothing but friendly. My unit has everything I need. The windows are HUGE and has become my little fur buddy’s favorite spot! Location is close to everything from grocery needs as well as any night life activities.
All I'm going to say is don't be fooled. The outside of the "Luxury" apartments looks coo. But the inside looks old dirty and out dated. Also If you like the smell of sewer coming through your vents often randomly through out the day then sign up! The Manager Martha is awful at her job to service the residents. I placed a maintenance request 04/2019 and they are literally just getting to the leak and floor damage in my bedroom 07/01/2019 CRAZY! Not sure why in the hell it took so long but that goes to show you how much they value and care about there resident at Mark 1. I really could go on and on but i don't have the time or energy. I will NOT be renewing my lease here. Can't wait till it's up!
I've lived at mark 1 for about 2 years. And I don't really have too many complaints considering I moved in for 955$ somewhere between floor 11 and 15 in a 1 bedroom,. and I havnt really had any complaints about my apartment. The management here has changed throughout these two years, but so far they have answered my request on a timely manner. Currently, the community manager, Andrew has taken over the scene and has made sure alot of work orders and maintenance around the building is up to par. I will admit that over these two years, things have needed work around the building, but they do get fixed. Alot of the people that see this place or move here forget that this building is from 1975. Of course we are going to have some issues. And they they also forget that they moved to desert Inn and Maryland parkway. *older part of Las vegas* so they should know what they are getting themselves into. But for the most part this apartment is an alright place to live. My only true complaint is that the windows do not open. I also wish I knew how powerful the sun is shining through my panoramic windows. Its hard to keep the temperature cool in the summer but ill manage.
